Walking hive tyrant : best build?

Now I realise it’s not advised to use a walking hive tyrant, it’s almost always better to take wings. But I’ve found myself with an old metal walking hive tyrant and I’m debating how best to equip it. (Since it’s metal I’m not interested in trying magnetise it)

What are the hive’s thoughts?

HVC and Spitters would generally be my vote. Or 4 Boneswords and make him Swarmlord ;-)

Run it in a jormungandr detatchment as a shooty tyrant. I run mine as double deathspitters or deathspitters and heavy venom cannon.

Tyrant's BS only drops to 4+ after losing 8 wounds iirc which is super good and should always be running a supplementary ranged weapon.

Depending on your ranged anti-armor, a HVC is very good at plinking with the reduced points cost. My Dakka is usually handled by a Devilgant bomb or double Dev Fexes. The Hive Guard are for AT and the Tyrant's HVC's are supplementary plinking power. Plus the HVC looks cool as hell imo.

A Tyrant can take a Fex's worth of wounds before dropping to BS4+ which is fairly tanky when taking into account the firepower needed to punch through 4++ and -1 to hit and said firepower not being pointed at other targets.

Im going to try and run one with the Slimer Maggot Infestation with Whip and Sword, wanting to try Hydra for a change, been using a winged Tyrant with Tyran Sythes with Behemoth.
