What could I turn this into?

I started to kitbash an insect mantis style flyrant but the part of the body I made ended up too small. What should I make it into instead?

Alternatively I could continue building a flyrant but make a large base to make up the lacking height. Ideas?

For anyone who still cares about this project, I have recently started working on it again. I'll post the finished thing in an album with some WIP pics in maybe a week or 2. I am going with a lictor, it may be a bit on the large side though. Like too small to be a tyrant and too big to be a conventional lictor.
