Quick Question Regarding Battle Forged

question is straightforward, referring to any recent FAQs or rules, does the imperium keyword make an army battleforged? if im running two hive fleets, im assuming im still battle forged, but if the only keyword an army has in common is imperium are they battle forged?  seems like the difference between 2 hive fleets and 2 completely different armies with different units are very different from eachother. so should a triple imperium soup list still be getting +3 CP?

Sure they do. Only requirement is to have one faction keyword in common. They could even mix three different <IMPERIUM> factions into one detachment and it would still count, they would just lose all other bonuses like Chapter Tactics, Regimental Doctrines etc.

/edit Oh wait, the FAQ. Forget what I said. That doesn't work anymore. Hhmmm...  why are those lists still cropping up? What am I missing?

/edit2 Ok, army faction is still a thing. So it still works. What the hell is the FAQ even supposed to change? I don't get it.

It's a beta rules, so it can go either way. If you're playing beta rules and matched play, then soup is not allowed in one detatchment, but is allowed across the army. Aka, you can have one detatchment of guard and one of space marines but not a mixed detachment of space marines and guard.

IIRC the way it's worded you can't have a detachment tied together with the IMPERIUM keyword, however the entire army can be battleforged through the IMPERIUM keyword.

For instance, if I'm playing IG, if I want to get that sweet 5++ from a custodian vexilla, I can't just stick him in the IG detachment and call it an IMPERIUM detachment. Now I would have to have an IG detachment and an AC detachment to get them both in the same army and be battleforged.
