According to www.warhammer-community.com/faqs/ there should be a more interactive FAQ service, "early this year". Probably not a priority.

I will point out that GW does have a support line, but that the people answering that line frequently get it wrong and end up at odds with tournament organizers, FAQs, and each other.

Your best bet is to find a forum community you trust and ask them. The Tyranid Hive has the most astute rules lawyers I have encountered. You are in good hands here.

Seconded. I have seen the Hive sort the nuances out better than any other online forum I have been a part of. To even sweeten the deal we can typically do it without anyone being called a nazi.
