Venomthrope as a Neurothrope?

Hey, all. I haven't played nids since 5th, but since the new codex actually looks quite fun, I thought I might dust off my collection.

Here's the thing, though, I bought a Venomthrope while they were single, Finecash models. Now I understand you need a minimum of 3 to field them. Well, I'm not sure I want to be buying a full set of them (and even if I did, I'd still have one surplus), so I wondered if it would work as a Neurothrope instead.

So, would you accept this as a Neurothrope?







If not, is there anything I could do that would make it a reasonable Neurothrope, or are the models just too different for that?

If there's anything distinct about a Neurothrope it's probably its "spine spike", which makes 3rd ed Neuros a fair fit. Aside from that, I'd accept anything resembling a Zoanthrope to be a Neurothrope if it's in singles. This fellow here lacks the eye-catching brain but the silhouette would be good enough for me. The Rending Claws look the most out of place, the piddly talons are very much a part of a Zoanthrope now, unless you're going for a 2nd ed Zoan hybrid . Do you have another small Scything Talons pair?

Okay, thanks. I'll see if I can find anything resembling the spine-spike.

I do, but I kinda wanted it to have hands/claws of some sort, even if they're basically ineffectual.

yeah I think the model will be fine. how about some little scything talons instead of the rending claws? The hormagaunt sized ones should work fine.
