So my friend and I are holding a small escalation league because we both haven't played 40k for several years and want to start up again. I decided to build a fluffy list Imperial guard very loosely based on American civil war regiments (lines of infantry, cavalry, officers on horseback, very formal attire and similar aesthetic). An example of some models I have made for it already here:

My friend is playing as the mechanicus for this 500 point battle, also note we are both busy with work and life so it might be months before we get the first game in I'm just making a list so I know what to buy.

Here is my List (a lot of stuff in there is to fill points to save on cost, thus I have a lot of equipment on models)

Vostroyan Doctrine

Company Commander- Plasma Pistol, Power Sword, Laurels of Command (NOTE: I want to model this guy on horseback so I can have him looking out over the field and "observing the battle" I want to build him as a support commander rather than combat )

Primaris Psyker- Force Stave, Deathmask of Ollanius

Veterans- Sergeant With chainsword and laspistol, plasmagun, lascannon

Infantry Squad (x3)- plasma gun, vox caster, sergeant with chainsword/laspistol

Rough Riders- 4x riders, Sergeant with powersword/laspistol

Heavy Weapons Squads (x2)- Autocannons
