Assembly question for those with Eldar flyers

Hey guys,
I have a Hemlock and Im trying to figure out how to attach the stand to the underbelly of the model. If you have one yourself, you know what Im talking about when it wants you to to attach the single curved piece, to cover the hole you would think you would fit the clear stand through. And you put the piece in from the inside. How does it stand? It makes no sense to me. Can anyone explain this to me?

The bit that goes in that hole is if you want to use an alternate method of basing. Some people use metal rod(s) to hold up the flyer, some people want to suspect the flyer by string from the ceiling as a decoration, etc.

Do NOT use that bit if you intend to use the GW base. It is an optional bit for those people.

Then how does the stand fit inside the hole?

It just goes in. It doesn't need a stop, you can insert it as far as it will go. The deeper it is the more stable it will be. (this sounds like the punchline to a dirty joke)

It is a tight fit, but it does fit. After painting it is sometimes challenging to get the stand in the stand hole, but it does go in.
