Hello hive! I've got a few questions for ya.
1) The Supersonic rule for flyers says ' each time the model moves, first pivot it on the spot up to 90 degrees, then move it straight forward'. My question is does it have to pivot at all? It doesn't say you CAN or MAY pivot first, it straight up tells you to. Does 'up to' mean 1-90 degrees or 0-90 degrees because technically isn't choosing 0 degrees not pivoting all all therefore not fulfilling the requirement for its movement? I understand that making the model pivot 1 degree is hardly moving it at all but I try to play rules as written.
2) So my friend and his gaming group seem to think that the rule for Pistols allows you to fire them in the Fight Phase before making Attacks. I tried to explain to him that the rule allows you to fire Pistols in the Shooting Phase even if you're in a close combat with certain restrictions. He said it was "just two different ways of understanding the rule". I told him that if he actually read the Pistols rule it would be clear. He's wrong right?
3) Chapter Approved- targeting characters. It says ' a character with less than 10 Wounds'. I doesn't say 'starts with less'. So am I understanding this right? Did this rule change so that when a Character goes down to 9 Wounds or less it can no longer be targeted unless it's the closest visible? Is my flying Hive Tyrant about to be very happy? My group says that GW cleared this up in the BRB FAQ but if the rule didn't change why would it now be in the CA book?
4) Chapter Approved- so we all know the new rule about whoever finishes Deploying first gets the +1 to see who goes first. My group says that the rule is meant for all Matched play games but I wasn't sure since the rule is only described in the First Turn section of the new missions and not under the Matched Play Mission Rules section. Did I miss something?
Thanks in advance.
