Meetings for shareholders are generally big on positive spin because that's what shareholder want - but lets be honest even without the AGM, as gamers, we can see the huge steps they've been making from the outside. Production shortages are a clear sign that (as GW is otherwise healthy and giving no signs that they've laied off staff) production is hitting its capacity as a result of huge success.

Honestly sounds like GW is having a huge revival on all fronts and most importantly pushing for the customer not just the shareholder. Sounds like great times

2 big pick ups for me.

New design teams for each game outlet, means constant updates for 40k.

They are purposely driving people from 3rd party sites (such as the Hive,) due to negative responses being the norm and pushing people away from the hobby.

Rulez Iz Herd, but when done right they sell out of models. Also, interesting take on trying to bring women in, when religious fanatics and zealots are the only models. (Note the mention of girls playing Nids and Orkz)

I don't think its that they are pushing people from fan sites but more not pushing them toward them whilst also focusing on getting them onto their own communication lines - and to be brutally fair there ARE a lot of negative people around the hobby who've hung on and can make the online world sound like the games dire and about to end.


Women into the hobby is a big thing I just hope that they can achieve it without watering down/changing things that are already present. Personally I think if they issue some changes to how their stores function as well as marketing focus they can get more women in without having to make huge changes to the game/visual designs.
