Sprucing up an ugly Bio-Titan for the ball.

So here's the ugly princess, bought with a bulk of Nid forces 




Yeesh... 



What is with that face?!?


The skeleton of the model is quite good, but she needs a lot of work. This is what I've done so far:






Cut a lot off the tale so that it goes smoother into itself (rather than there suddenly being a tail).
Added a lot of legs.
Each of the guns was hollow inside :/ Working on them. The paperclips are going to outline a large toxin sack I'm going to model.
Made the front tallons larger so that it stands taller. 
Got rid of the dumb carnifex head... looked so derpy. Ordered a Mawlock head to replace it. 
Gona make the carapace pop with greenstuff highlights after I have the basic structure down.
Sorted the tail out, which before was atrocious.

I am now reconsidering the large talons. After adding all of the smaller claws, the large ones stick out unrealistically. Thoughts?

It reminds me that i have an alien queen model i wanted to repurpose into a Tyranid gargantuan

The large claws help give it the identifiable heirophant profile, I feel it would lack without it. You might want to smooth out the wrinkles on the carapace on it's back with some green stuff, that way the wrinkles on the body look like folded skin while the plates on it's back look hard.

Yeah, this thing is gona weight twice as much in green stuff once I'm done with it. Just bought 36" of it. 

Are there any other Nid titans that it might resemble that I don't know about? I have re-shaped the legs so that they do not jut out anymore where they connect and now they do look good.

Yeah, it's mainly the worm-like body and ribccage effect that gave me motivation to salvage it.

Yeah, it's mainly the worm-like body and ribccage effect that gave me motivation to salvage it.

Only things that big are the Heirophant, Harridan, and Dominatrix. Trygon used to be classed as a bio-titan in 5th, but it's much smaller (obviously). If you gave it wings, it could probably make a pretty gnarly Harridan, especially if you put it up on a flying base.

I have come to the sad conclusion that, before I continue, I need to get this thing a bigger head. 
The body is coming along nicely. Still working on shape before I do any texture, but I'm almost there. A Hierodule head would fit perfectly, but I can't find anyway to get just a head. No bitz sites that I've found do Forgeworld models. Any suggestions on the head?




The model also no longer vaguely represents a Hierophant, so I will have to think of something else to base it off. Although I don't think there are any Ravener-titan hybrids for Tyranids. The Dominatrix is as close as it gets to this model now I think.
