Adding a cape to a Terminator model

Hey all,
Just wanted to know if anyone has done this before and how they did it. I would like to add a cape to a Grey Knight Termie/Paladin that will act as my Grand Master. I've looked at other models that have capes and while I was thinking I could just use the bits (like if the cape was connected to leg sprues) to just use that. But Grey Knight sprues of obviously different enough that I wouldn't like the outcome. Anyone have any suggestion on what I can do?

You could green stuff one. Even make it a bit tattered for that battle worn look. Should be simple enough to do.

The chaos lord in terminator armour kit has a cape with just the backpack attached. Sucks to buy an entire kit for just the cape though, especially if you don't play Chaos either. Could check bits stores ofcourse.
