Neophyte conversion ideas

So, I am planning my cult and want to have a cavalcade and dotting throng. Just wondered if anyone has ideas for other models to use apart from the pricey neophytes? I'm thinking chaos cultists for a bit of variety but seems only half of the box have autoguns.

Although not necessarily that dynamic, have you checked ebay for people still splitting the DWOK box?

Ork boys with shootas. Basic orks are still cheap compared to everything else gw makes. With some spare bits here and there you can make neophytes, acolytes, and metamorphs out of them fairly easily.

Also their trukk kit is cheaper than the goliath, if you are wanting to put your cult on goliath trucks.
