Magnets and the Great Devourer!

Hello swarm!
i'm experimenting for the first time with magnetising some of my tyranid models.
just wanted to know what your thoughts are on applying the magnets to to models and you have found to work best (if any!) 
i'm currently just trying with superglue but thought of a combo of glue/green stuff.
i can try to post pictures of my progress if needed but unsure how to upload photos to here.

Generally any model with alternate arm options that's Warrior size of bigger is easy enough to magnetize. Ball and socket joints are easy enough to do.

Some of the bigger weapons might sag when done with magnets on the bigger models. To get around this you can drill a small hole next to the magnets and thread a short brass rod into the arm and glue it in place. Then once the glue is dry you've got a peg and socket along with the magnet - magnet holds it in and pin stops it spinning on the magnet.

I wouldn't magnetize anything like gaunts simply on a case of scale of operations - although some have done so with the right small magnets.

What i've done is I take the magnet that's the largest that will fit in the socket without sticking out and then use a superglue/greenstuff/superglue sandwich and mash the magnet into that. As for the arm itself, I cut the shoulder flat, glue the opposing magnet of the same size to it (if the arm is too small to drill the magnet into it, that is) and then use green stuff to smooth out the difference between plastic and magnet. Only issues i've had are my flyrant wings that stay fine, but if I move it upwards too quickly, the wings will flap down and need to be re-positioned.

Point is, glue/greenstuff/glue sandwich. If you don't have the glue, the greenstuff will eventually come away from the plastic or magnet; the greenstuff will let you get the most surface area possible between your magnet and the model.
