How can I use extra parts?

So the GSC Neophyte box leaves you with 3 torsos, numerous heads and multiple shotguns/autoguns.  Does anyone know of a good conversion using just the upper half of a model to utilize it in game play.  I don't have any type of spare legs to use.  I was thinking of leaning out of a sewer pipe or something.  I just don't know what component to use.  Any help is appreciated.

Find a guardsman friend and ask for a couple of legs.

Unfortunately, I think the Guard sprue has enough to make exactly 10 bodies. Spares will be hard to come by.

Oh my god yes.

Alternatively you could magnetize the torsos and lower bodies of the specialist/heavy weapons so you could swap them out? Otherwise, maybe practice some greenstuff casting to pull a couple passable lower bodies out of that and cover the unsightly parts with robe-skirts like some of the acolytes have.  Don't forget leman russes and I think chimaeras have access hatches too!

oh, and markers. They could represent either an objective (like a sewer pipe or ventilation grate) or some other kind of markers.

Check ebay for any suitable legs if any of the above fail. I like the scything legs idea personally.

Guard legs are a dime a dozen on ebay. Otherwise steal crew legs from vehicles and just leave them out of those models

In the process of creating some great conversions with the spares in the metamorph kit using some dark angel veterans i had lying around...... will post pics when they are closer to complete
