Any point in a Void Shield Generator conversion?

So I had an idea for a Tyranid-themed Void Shield Generator. I have a pretty good idea of what I want to use and where to get it, and it's mostly just that I want to build the model, but my question is this; is there any point to building one gameplay wise? Can I actually put it on the table, SHOULD I put it on the table? Where are the rules for this thing, will it be seen as unfair or anything like that? I may just go ahead and do it since I want to build it, but I'm slightly deterred if there's no gameplay use whatsoever. Thoughts?

I enjoy building more then painting or even gaming combined.... so yeah... go for it is my very biased advice...
Worst case it is scenery

No data slate our there that says what it does?
Or take one in battlescribe and a profile shows?

If I remember correctly, it makes a shield that's AV12 and has to be penned before the gribblies below take damage. But that's not nearly enough info to deploy of course.

Void Shield: Description:
Each hit scored against the model will instead hit a void shield (whilst they remain). Close combat attacks come from inside the shield and therefore are not stopped. Void shields have an Armour Value of 12. A glancing or penetrating hit (or any hit from a Destroyer weapon) scored against a void shield causes it to collapse. After all the void shields have collapsed, further hits strike the model instead. At the end of each of the controlling player's turns, roll one dice for each collapsed void shield: each roll of 5+ instantly restores one collapsed shield. If a weapon uses a template or blast marker and it hits one or more units protected by a Void Shield Zone, ignore the number of hits it would normally cause to the units & instead roll to pen the void shield once using the weapons normal rules & profile for each template or blast marker that hits.

Recent FAQs have nerfed it a little but it's still viable. But aside from anything else if you have an idea of what you want to build then do it. There is absolutely nothing like having something you made that fits your army. GW is not about to service the nid community with any terrain so it;s up to us to inspire each other and show what a bit of clay, plastic, string, board and tissue paper can be with a bit of effort. Even if you don't use it in your army it makes great terrain too.

From my experience everything I've ever made in this fashion has been a huge talking point and centre-piece to my army and I've no doubt yours will generate a bit of interest.

Gamewise I'd also recommend you take note of the fact the VSG has battlements. It's a 'medium sized building' which in 6th Edition was classified as Up to 9"x9" [small is 6"x6", large is up to 12"x12", that size chart is no longer in the rule books but might help] but you may want to err on the side of caution. Anyway, the building is impassable, so you can't go inside it but you can go on the battlements and climb up the outside with a difficult terrain test as you would any other clambering to a different level. Definitely worth taking that into account when you model it.
