Yet another malanthrope

In order to stop hijacking vejby 's malanthrope thread, I'm moving the pics for my malanthrope kitbash here.

By my count, it included parts from at least seven kits thus far, both metal and plastic. Heh.



Pretty standard use of flyrant tail and carnifex carapace; added some venomthrope chimneys and tendril arms, a few genestealer talons, a "I think it was a lictor" metal head, and a wad of greenstuff.



Tentacles from Green Stuff industries' Tentacle Maker, base from a Basius 2 mold.

Here's how it looks with most of the basic modeling done.

Here's some progress on the base. Still a good bit of detailing to go, but I'm pretty happy with the blood dispersal in the water effect/goo pool.

New and improved, with extra flail-y bits. the Hentai Picnic vignette is nearly complete.

Still needs detailing and other finishing touches, but not too shabby.

I think either works, but the flyrant body makes something a little better proportioned, or at least less proportioned like a 'roid-raging bodybuilder who's skipped leg day for months...

danb I just took a look at your modelling resources page, really cool to have the leg size pics. Any chance you've got scything claws from all the bugs to compare as well? I've been wondering if I can use carnifex or tyrant scythes on a tervigon
