How to build resin models - guide and advice

Which goes through the basics of how to work with resin for one of the Spartan games models. I know its not a nid, but many of the methods and process are similar (esp if you're working with any of the forge-world tyranids). So I'm curious as to what people here think of the guide and what could be improved. I'm thinking on doing a series of such assembly guides so having some idea what people like and feel is and isn't needed would be great.

Just built two Deimos rhinos from forgeworld that are half resin half plastic. I found using my fiancé hairdryer to shape and straighten while dry fitting was helpful.

Aye, in general any good heat source will make resin soften to work with. I've had a little bit of resin reshaping to do with some Spartan models in the past but nothing in this one, certainly if I come across it its something I can talk about.

nice guide. can't stress planning, dry fitting, and pinning enough.

I'd recommend using the back of a GW scalpel, as there is a significantly lower chance of taking a chunk out of a model if you do.

Aye I actually spent a fair bit of time dry fitting the wings as they didn't attach to the wing arms in the way I thought they would.

I've never liked using the back of the blade; I agree its a softer edge and might work well on resin at least; but I've never felt comfortable. That said the only time I've ever really felt like I was going to take chunks out of something has been a few times on metal and when working with Privateer Press's plastic-resin hybrid (honestly I dislike that stuff).
