Wondering if the new tyranid codex will be any good if GW overhauls it. Meaning working on every aspect of the codex and not just coping and paste the like the last two that they did. What or how u would feel if they did do a overhaul on our codex?

It will be very good if they just would put a tiny bit of thought into the army.
Our last dex could have been awesome if a little thought was put into the army.
Ex. Hive Guard are a legitimate shooting Tyranid unit. GW decides to drop their BS down to 3. Why? Because.
They don't need to even go all out. Just a little effort would go a long way and would make many units become usable again.

Yeah I feel u there. Same with the hormagaunts. Why have a BS of 3 when they don't have any shooting options. Doesn't make sense.

This is my opinion what units/ special rules need to be looked at. Swarmlord, hive guard, Warriors/ primes, genestealers, hormagaunts, gargoyles, exocrine, haruspex, maleceptor, and a GC that's reasonable in points that can counter imperial Knights. Special rules I would have to say would be Shadow in the warp, warlord traits that would work for our army, and synapse. Possibly some formations that would be fun to play both casual and competitive.

I, for one, want Rhinos in the new Codex. They're fast, cheap and get your guys where they need to be. There's no reason an all biological army can't have vehicles. None at all.
Give them the Hunt IB rule to make it fluffy.

I screwed up and asked "What could they possibly do? Not like we going to get Tyrants with laser beams shooting out of their eyes?" *presto* random rolling option for Warp Lance...
Be careful what you wish for. 4000% better than zero is still zero, and no matter how much damn cologne I pour on this turd it just looks like a turd still..
Overhaul, no overhaul. Whatever. At this point in my Tyranid career I can't be too picky over what my Gribblies do or don't do. Just as long as they continue to die in droves and my questions remain "Is that all?"
Flip flop rule tells me our CC monsters are in for the leaping rule (Haha hahaha 6" on Dima....) The Swarmlord is coming back as a useless but important anchor. The Flyrants will never die, Genestealers collect another layer of dust carapace increasing their potential half-life... We lose our haywire template and the Hive Guard Haywire guns become sky fire only.
Synapse and shadows... Well.. They can't get worse. Fearless has its own downsides of no "our weapons are useless" or going to ground.
I whine because I'm a Tyranid player. I know that we are just being treated unfairly because well... When the universe is your smorgasbord, your food will generally be cranky and go kicking and screaming.

Yeah I know it's all salty at best and wishful thinking. Hoping that GW will pity our army a little is probably asking too much from them.

Hope for the best....plan for the worse.
Nothing g has been set in stone and as the TY army is already so gimped GW will have to totally overhaul the army to make them remotely competative ...which is unlikely.
I have two armies (nids & templars) and in my local meta if I am playing nids I tell my opposition that way beforehand to ensure they don't bring along a super cheese, waac list...I'd you do it won't be a fun game

We know NOTHING. We can only guess. We can't even hope. Hope leads to disappointment. I am expecting Cruddace III codex. This way anything better would be a mild surprise, and anything good, would be nice.
5th edition Tyranid codex, shame on GW. 6Th edition Tyranid codex shame on me. Good thing I wasn't expecting much for 6th edition. So now I know 7th edition for Tyranids and Chaos Space Marines will be Crud. Now I can't get disappointed.

See, reading this I thought "yeah, a tyranid that looks like the animal rhino...". But as a vehicle and tyranid, it would have to be a super bloated, six limbed rhinoceros. Yeah, I'd get that kit.

You're not going to find anyone here who is gonna think a new tyranid codex is a BAD idea.
Almost everyone on the internet and I've met in person familiar with our codex agrees we lack a lot. We're slow. Our units are largely overcosted. A large chunk of our codex(which brags 1st or 2nd MOST different units/models of any codex) is terrible with units seemingly slapped together and having little to no role in the army.
Heck, most of my opponents would LOVE to see something other than flyrants even if our codex got better. And the only person I've seen period cry about tyranids is a necron player who AT RELEASE OF THE CRON CODEX was crying about necrons not being good enough if that's any kind of context about the whinging this guy does(he lost like 3x in a row to a sub-par ork list with his crons and almost quit).
Now, you will find our community at least partially divided on what changes are appropriate. Me for example? I would HATE the hive fleet tyranids to get true vehicle transports(aka things with an armor value) because I like the fact our army is different in that respect. I would be okay with genestealer cults however having true vehicles. I'd want it to emulate the drop pods/harridan super-heavy transport rules.
I like the drop pods we have, I just with they were like 20 points cheaper and could transport more. Ex. I should be able to transport a full brood of gaunts. And I can live with the 1 MC per pod rule, but it'd be glorious to see tyrant guard attached to a tyrant not take up transport space.....except without the walking tyrant getting a buff even THAT change isn't really "good".
I think just a quick glance at the first page of general on our forum shows that talk of changes and a new codex is one of the few things current nid players care about.

It's funny that a Genestealer Cult Codex is always rumored, because discussion about the next Tyranid Codex is always so... culty. We'll get what we want, things will be better, our enemies will pay for what they've done. Our ascendancy is guaranteed!

I just want to see formations and super-detachments that fit into 1850pts like the Gladius Strike Force and the Decurion.
