My attempt at a tyrant/hive guard magnetised model

So I mentioned before that I was going to attempt to magnetise my new tyrant guard kit, so that I can also run it as hive guard when needed.

Well, I failed to find any really guide so I thought I'd document my attempt as I feel like it went ok and could help anyone else that wants to do the same.

I mainly used 2X1mm magnets plus a few 3x2 for the arm sockets.

If I was to do it again I would magnetise the body from the inside before gluing it together.

It's a great job. You have serious magnetfu skills. I tend not to magnetize that much, though I did magnetize the cc and lw/bs weapons for the tyrant guard. I usually buy more models rather than magnetize a bunch, I have horror stories of warriors doing the shoulder to shoulder shuffle across the table everytime they get too close.

that's a nice job. i already have 9ish old HG, so i just made TG and magnetized their arms/claws (and two finecast old TG, also magnetized). if they make them better in the new book, i'll look at just getting some more. the plastic kits are great.

Thanks for the guide friend. I just got my first box of them not too long ago and was thinking of how am I going to magnetize this entire kit since there are two sets for every HG/TG.

There isn't anything else online for it.
