What to do with Starship Troopers minis...

Sup Hive. So recently I was able to snag an almost NIB starter set of the old Starship Troopers minis game from eBay for almost nothing. I'm a huge fan of ST, and the Arachnid Empire, so I'd be content with building them as-is and using the Arachnid Warrior bugs as Shrikes, but I can't help but feel like I'm sitting on a powderkeg of conversions. Anyone know what to do with this find? Suggestions welcome, past experience, or critique of my drunken Internet buys are all equally accepted. 

Also, it comes with a whole bunch of Federation soldiers, I figured I'd give them to my local IG player. Suggestions for that also greatly welcome.

This might be a little outside the box, but I have seen the Starship trooper minis used as parts to build an impressive Tyranid fleet for Battlefleet Gothic.

That's a really clever idea...I've never played Battlefleet Gothic, but maybe I'll do a few conversions and see how they look. Who knows, maybe my group will pick it up at some point

Ahh yeah got about 20 of these myself. Abit of drunk bidding on ebay us dangerous.

Using them as warriors for the swarm

I used the blister/blaster bugs as shrike alternatives, magnetizing their base with extra warriors tops. My plasma bug I use as an exocrene or tyrannofex (even though I have magnetized haruspex/exocrene). And lastly one of the assassin/disguise bugs as Deathleaper, though it is actually still in box on shelf. If you got some of the flyers in there, those would be super great as shrikes. Go-go drunk ebay, beats drunk dialing any day IMO.
