New white primer- GW has screwed me!

Beware anyone who paints in a similar colour to Hive Fleet Kraken.

The new "off white" primer (Corax White) is basically light grey! This means I will now be going elsewhere to get a white primer for my Nids as if I wash the nids with seraphim now they come out light/dark brown and not the nice bone colour that they used to.

So does anyone know of a white primer that I could use as an alternative? (I live in the UK)

Vallejo paints or the Army Painter ranges are both often used as alternatives. Of the two I've only used the Army Painter spray which was ok and slightly cheaper than GW's.

A light grey would be great for my chaos, but that's just me. Sorry to hear about your painting woes. maybe send them a message for customer service and ask a better white they may/may not have. Or, if they have any skull white left.

You can find it on amazon still, I believe. Though, I'm 100% against army painter's white. I've had three cans of the stuff from my flgs, the main site, and amazon. all of them came out as this awful, gritty powder that ruined detail like mad. Maybe I'm unlucky, but never again on that.

Vallejo has good white primer I hear, but I haven't used it. I use army painter's light gray and build up to white from it now.

I use this. It is some of the best model primer around. I have been using it for a very long time now and it is very good primer...highly recommend it.

I have had a similar problem once or twice with their white, but the other 4 or 5 cans I have used have been fine.
