OOC: Thankyou those that were involved in this bit that were quick to reply... To those that Ive been waiting an ages for please try to check your PM's regularly so this can keep moving at a decent pace.
_______________________________________________________________________
Its been more than two weeks on board. Most have spent alot of their time in the common room constantly being annoyed by Leyd's two children, who himself has been quite quiet and tried to get them to remain in his room with him. Captain Relan is also rarely seen, spending alot of time on the bridge, checking the engine, except for in the evenings when he joins in poker and drinking games run by Dave and Marken (normally loosing his money). Markens seemingly inexhaustable suply of booze ran out a few days ago, much to the the captains vocal annoyance. Harena doesnt seem to have left Teika's side, the two constantly talking together and walking around the ship, other than that Teika has spoken to when spoken too but seems subdued by whatever happened to her. Kitty seems to be spending alot of time by herself as well, though when you do get her talking she seems excitable and fun. Dave has won ALOT of money playing poker, mostly off the captain but also some off the doctor who seems very fond of the game. The Doctor Paul just seems curious about everyone, "Why are you here, why would you leave...etc?"
One night you are woken up with a start to a sudden yell of an alarm... Sleepily you get out of your rooms to find Herana rushing to the bridge. Following you find that Relan is there desperatly puching buttons, flicking switches and saying quick prayers to the Machine god under his breath. "What the hell is going on?" shouts Paul trying to be heard over the alarm. With a flick of another switch the alarm dies and Relan replies, "Somethings wrong with the engine, its just half died. I think we can make it to this planet (he points to a screen) and land. Hopefully there we can get what we need to fix whatever is wrong." At this Leyd's children start to scream obviously not liking the idea of a possible crash landing or worse.
_____________________________________________________________________
Anything you want to say, do, ask, whatever before landing PM me and it will be put up. If it gets into something then we will run with it if no one does I will update in a day for the landing....

Kitty starts to scream, loudly praying to the emporer for salvation while the doctor rushes out to to gather his medical bag incase the landing is closer to a crash. Teika bursts forth with a torrent of paniced questions, "How long til planetfall? Where will we be landing? Why is this happening now!?!" Then rushes out of the bridge and you hear an audiable bang as she slams her room door shut.

lol, right...
Herena, apparently feeling her position as pilot is being userped by the captain (or perhaps because she feels she will be beter at it) all but kicks Relan out of the pilots chair and takes his place.

Leyd grabs his children clutching them to him. "What kind of planet is this? Friendly? Not so friendly?" Dave looks around and seeing a chair similar to the pilots one but attached to the wall straps himself in. Apparently answering Teika's question, even though shes left Relan say, "I have no idea about this planet. It is imperial and the scanner says its mostly desert with a few small towns..."

Kitty squeels and straps herself into the chair next to Dave. Relan look at them both and rolls his eyes and grabs onto one of the panels infront of him to stabalise himself.
You couldnt really see this planet that you are meant to be landing on untill Herena suddenly turns the ship and it swings into veiw covering the whole of the windows at the front of the bridge. You just about have time to register a surface that seems to show no vissable water just browny-yellow sand as flames burst up over the thick glass. "Hitting the atmosphere now!" shouts Herena as the ship jurks violently from side to side sending all of you, other than Herena, Relan, Dave and Kitty, to the floor.
Those thrown to the floor pull themself up on the panels near Relan. The shaking only gets worse and the roar of the fire outside doubles. You could swear you can actually smell the hull burning. A few seconds later the roar suddenly stops and you can see the yellow sands of the endless deserts again. At first you cant really tell that your moving as everything looks the same but as you can make out more details on the planets surface, like mountains, you all realise that the ship is indeed falling and its falling VERY fast. You make out more and more details as you fall, mountains, darker areas of land (perhaps rock) and then a small area that could be a collection of buildings that you appear to be heading for. In secondsa your sure they are buildings and you hear a grating noise.
Turning you see Herena is barely in her seat. She has both feet on the panel infront of her pushing directly away from it while clutching the controls attempting to pull the twin sticks back. Slowly she succeeds and the town moves down the screen out of view as you level out, though your still falling directly down.
Herena lets herself fall into her seat by relazing, keeping her feet still on the control panel and she quickly straps herslef in while looking at a dile infront of her, like a clock but with hands spinning around worryingly fast.
The captain moves from holding onto the pannel to lay on the floor and before any of you get a chance to do anything more than look confused Herena kicks a switch on the controls infront of her.
You hear jets fire somewhere roughly behind you and to either side of the ship and sudden forces shove you too the floor with such force that Leyds son, Lakir, hits his head on the floor, despite Leyd trying to shield him, and goes limp.
From then on the ride is smooth and within a minute you see walls comming up to surround you as you descent into a hanger and jolt onto the ground. With a whire the engines and electrics around you die.

Leyd hugs Larkir to his telling him to wake up in a moderatly hysterical mannor while Dave and Marken try to help him. Paul re-enters the room and immediatly goes to the small boys side and trys to help him. Kitty seems to have calmed down slightly, though is still strapped into her chair and breathing heavily while Teika also comes back onto the bridge. You hear static as a com unit crackles into life.... "Why have you landed hear? You have one minute to have all personel on board to exit the vessel." The static dies as the signal is cut off. Whoever it was did not want a reply unless it was in person apparently. _________________________________________________________________________ Im stuck with little to do at work today (lucky me ) so will try to move this on fastish.... If I havent heard anything I will assume you all exit the ship as instructed.

You make your way through the ship, to storage and off onto a sandy desert floor.
Leyd goes first as quick as he can carrying Larkir with the small Faul following behind crying, "I need hel...!" He is brough up short at the sight of a line of ten men in Imperial uniform holding lasguns towards you all, and another man in a more high ranking looking uniform.
The rest of you follow with a smile and a, "Perfect landing wasnt it," from Marken.
Marken has most of his lugage with him in a bag and Teika has a smooth metal case about a meter by half a meter long with her that she picked up from her room.
Surrounding you and the ship is a large round wall, perhaps ten meters high. To one side there is a fenced off area that looks to be a processing area where bags can be scaned and people searched upon entry to the planet.
The official looking man steps forward. For a human he's quite large (in a muscular way) and despite his look of concern you can see crows feet taned at the corner of his eyes of a man who normally smiles regularly. Where as the other men's uniforms look dusty and have seen better days his is imaculately kept. "I am Captain Vhal and welcome to Arvalion II. However, I have to ask what in the Emporer's name your doing here? We recieved no comunication of a landing today and that little stunt you pulled didnt impress anyone," he says beaming at Marken after his comment.

"Captain," Relan steps forward. "I apologise for our unanounced landing. We have had a problem with our engines and had no choice but to set down here. We are happy to stick to any rules you set us and would appreciate it if you let us use one of your engineers."
Vhal looks Relan up and down as well as each one of you, his eyes lingering on Teika a bit longer than needed. "I can accept that and I do not see the need for you all to be stuck in here. However, we barely have enough engineers as it is. Any repairs you make will have to be done on your own. You may leave the hanger as and when you wish however, whatever rules you have on that ship do not apply here. You are NOT allowed to take any guns outside this hanger and any attempt to do so will result in harsh concequences. Do I make myself clear? Also you will have to report to the local sherif to report yourselves on-planet. Two of my men will escort you. Before they do so Id advise any of you with anything on you that shouldnt be on the planet to deposite it in the ship. After that you can choose to stay in your ship or make use of one of our many places to stay. You have five minutes."

With a, "In that case I just need to go inside for.... something," Herena makes her way back onto the ship and returns after half a minute.

"Yeah I think I might want to get some clothes to take actually," says Dave and makes his way inside followed by Captain Relan who doesnt even bother to say anything while pulling a small pistol from his belt behind his back. They return shortly and you make your way to the fenced off check in area, Leyd still carrying Larkir. You walk in through a large door frame into a small area little more than the size of the ships common room with several armed guards in and the Captain of the guard in one corner. " If you give the child to the guard he will run him to our medical unit now sir," says the Vhal addressing Leyd. EEEAAARRRR!!! A VERY loud alarm sounds behind those of you in the arse as Teika walks through the large looking doorframe. The captains face is instantly stern looking as he draws a laspistol from his holster and all of the guards instantly raise their lasguns to point at her. "GET DOWN ON YOUR KNEES NOW!" shouts Vhal as the rest of you are shoved out of the way. "DROP THE CASE! HANDS ON YOUR HEAD!" Teika does as she is instructed. Once kneeling on the ground she says something in ancient Teran (which none of you understand by the way). The Vhal instantly looks suspicious but walks over to her, unzips her top (which is over another black top so no getting any ideas ) down to approximetly her breast bone. He then pulls something out from under her top, but his back is in the way so you can not see what. Holstering his laspistol and signaling to the guards to lower their weapons he zipz up Teikas top. He helps her to her feet and gives her back her case. "Your free to go on your way Ms Trent." He says then walks away as if nothing happened. You walk out through a smaller door in the side of the hanger. What is infront of you can only be described as something out of the old west. Sand blows across the unpaved streets and wooden cunstrusted buildings form neat lines. In the distance behind the buildings is another large metal building that looks to be another hanger. Tied up to some posts at the edge of the streets are small groups of horses drinking from a trough by each pole and you can make out one large motor bike leaning parked outside one building. The majority of the buildings are either taverns, hotels or general stores. The people walking the street are mostly simply dressed though some share the uniform of the guards but given they are stumbling out of one of the bars its safe to assume they are off duty. All of the people however give you suspicious looks as you begin to make your way down the street followed by your escorts. Another guard comes up to Leyd and takes Larkir. He motions with his head to a small building back the other side of the hanger with a red cross painted on a plack outside, "He'll be safe in there." As he goes to leave Faul bursts into another crying fit untill the guard says to Leyd, "she can acompany me if you wish." Before Leyd has a chance to respond Faul runs after the man carrying her brother and the start to walk down the street away from you leaving a very worried looking Leyd. You make your way to a more sturdy looking wooden building with a large star on its plack. You walk inside and find an office like building with a large deck facing you. Along the wall locked behind bared cabinets are a number of rifles. Behind the desk is an average looking man with a far from normal tash (Imagine a proper handle bar job of epic proportions). "This is sherif Karsen, we'll leave you with him," anounces your guards and leave. The sherif stands and you can instantly tell that he's missing his left arm, but on his right side by his waist he wears a rather hefty looking boltpistol. "So your the new ones on-planet. I just want to make one thing clear, you cause any problems and you'll be answering to me and my friend." He taps the pistol. Then he smiles at you all. "Com'on then. Lets 'ave your names so you can get out of here and be on your way." You write your names in a large book he pulls out from a cabinet behind his desk (Teika seems to be taking alot of effort to be writing her name in last). Then you leave onto the street. From the sun you think you probably have an hour or two untill sunset. _______________________________________________________________________ OK, you guys have a pretty free rein now to do what you want up to a point... You can go where ever, stay on the ship. Please try to keep it sencible. Please.....

Almost the second you leave onto the street Leyd sprints off in the direction of the hospital, not caring that his rather flash suit is getting covered in dust.
Relan sighs, mutters about having to check out the engine and find parts as quickly as possible and heads off in the direction of the hanger. As he's leaving he assures you all that it will be fine and he's sure whatever is wrong he will be able to fix it.
The rest of you head towards the closest tavern but with a wink Kitty peals off and goes into a much shadier looking bar with a smashed window and alot of noise comming from inside.
Inside the tavern most of you sit together and quickly a waitress comes over to you. "Hi there. You looking for a place to stay? We have lots of nice rooms just upstairs?"
Dave and Marken order drinks without thinking and as soon as Dave has his moves ot the bar and starts talking to locals... Very quickly he seems to have chatter up a barmaid into giving him cheap drinks and has organised a poker game (legendry epic charisma roll there).
Paul leans over to Teika and although looking like he was going to whisper quite clearly asks, "So what the hell happened in there?"

OOC: OK, we should be able to do this here now as most of the characters are together.
_________________________________________________________________________
There is blood everywhere. Larkir is leaning against the wall shocked into silence. Faul is still screaming and a local woman is trying to calm her down. You all arrive at different times. Marken is there by the time the rest of you arrive. Then you arrive in this order; Herena, Paul, Dave, Leyd (weilding a coat stand), Relan (carrying a backpack sized piece of machinery) and then Teika.
In front of you all is what only can be described as a mess. Laying on the floor is half a body. Half because the rest of it seems to have melted away into a pool of fleshy goo that is puddled around it. A blood splatter is against one wall and you can see from the small amount of itnot turned to the messy paste that his neck has been sliced open. Above the tatered remains of his throat is what could be a friendly looking face, mouth and eyes wide in horror. And onthe face a very large handle bar tash. The sherif.
Around you there are mumbling voices as more of the towns people arrive... The some of the military pointing lasguns at you all.....
You all realise you have no idea where Kitty is.

The sherif is dead, yes. From the looks of it the little girl and boy found him... Or thats what Faul seems to be hysterically saying to the woman.
Teika demands to talk to the guard captain but as soon as she moves towards one of the gurads they all point their weapons at her. "You aint talking to no-one (please do not swear)," on of the guardsmen speaks up. "Where the hell is the other one. Someone get on the radio and find the pink haired girl."
Marken bends down to next to the pile of goo that used to be half the sherif. He moves to touch it but one of the guardsmen kicks him away with a "AND WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING!"
