WooHOOO! Thinking it was going to take ages before I was every free again I have encountered a sudden lull in work that allows me time to work on something new.
Ok, Im going to be starting up a small (read 3-4 characters and that has a point that it will end - though what that point is depends on how your characters fair and so on) roleplay thats going to be pretty different to what has been done before so before I start to explain the background I will explain how it will work.
Firstly you will be given a charcter that has already been created by me. Your character will be asigned at random. These will NOT be your superhuman killing machines you have used before in most roleplays, they will be normal people of the imperium (though some more honest than others ;p). The important thing about this is that you should NOT know whos character is whos. For this reason it should NOT be discussed out of the forum, on the forum, by PM or in real life. I cant really monitor PM's or real life so Im asking for a bit of honesty as its for the good of the game. To allow this to happen EVERYTHING will be done via PM through me. If you want your character to say something then you will PM me and I will write on the thread that your character has said (or done) what you wanted. Hopefully this will mean you will not know who is who and who is an NPC and who isnt. I believe this is important as it will not be a typical hack and slash roleplay and I do not want the NPC's to be treated as expendable or not talked to in the way they normally are.
Because of this Im not expecting this thread to look amazing, with hundreds of posts and a list of pages that is as long as your computer screen. Its not that type of roleplay, its for a good game and that alone.
Also you MUST be able to check the roleplay regularly (once a day AT LEAST). If I trhink you are not able to I wont allow you to join. Those that have roleplayed with me before and post well, play well, and are regular with have first dibbs on this.... sorry, but it means I know I can rely on them.
I will need to make the characters (which as this will require many things such as charisma/ dexterity and various other things rarely used in roleplays) it will take a day or two. So thats the sign up period really. If it takes a bit longer fine, if no one shows interest then fine also.
Ok, the background is that you are all aboard a small transport vessel (read very small... think firefly if you know it) on its way to a small world. Its not perticularly desirable there but you all have your reasons for going (and assume the others do too). The flight is scedualed to take a number of weeks, maybe two months. It is departing from Marion V, a industrialised world filled with hives but with an attempt at a strong force keeping the peace and the Emporers law.
Thats about it for the general background. The main background is supplied with your characters.... And will be known to you and only you.
