*This is the story of how the Lightning Rose chapter was slaughtered to a man*
Alan parried another blow from his opponent, this one nearly snapping his claws. Pushing it off to the outside, he ripped the guts from another greenskin, the blood hissing and popping as it fried on the claws. Looking up, he watched as another dreadnought fall to the swarm damned cans. A las cannon fired and a can fell, then exploded, yet it did little to stall the greenskins. Hearing a bellow he fell back and started to run towards the sound.
Ravener twisted shoving his bolter into the jaw of a greenskin. Pulling the trigger, he was already turning to shoot his next target. He was thrown in the air by a giant greenskin who was at least half metal. Crashing into a space wolf, he rolled and drew his power sword, parring a vicious choppa blade. He spun the blade reversing it to catch a shot to his side. The choppa swung once more, and there was nothing Ravener could do. Waiting for the blow, he saw a mist of blood and watched as the space wolf took the hit. Wrenching the frost blade from the wolf's scabbard he gutted the greenskin with the choppa and simply stabbed the other one. Taking a step back, the giant greenskin gouged a trough into the ground. Stepping into the blow, Ravener sliced through the upper arm, listening the alien bellow in rage as he attempted to batter Ravener with his other arm. Parring without thinking, Ravener stepped back again and again, blocking as this mountain of a creature tried to bash him into the earth.
Watching as a Dreadnought also stomped towards the action, Alan ran as hard as he could, snapping shots from a dead marine's bolter. As the gun ran to empty, he hurled it and continued to run, being outpaced by the stomping Dreadnought.
