You we're all born as children of the fire caste, born to the fate of protecting your species from the dangers of the universe as a whole. Your parents were both prominent members of the cadre they served in before they met an untimely death at the hands of the enemy. As orphans with no means to supporty yourselves and a debt to repay the ethereals enrolled you in the illustrious Vior'la Academy. After many years of learning the arts of war icluding tactics, survival and the use of weapons including those of your enemies you are well on your way to being elevated to the rank of shas'la and given an opportunity to prove yourselves against your foes. But then one night an air caste messenger arrives in your quarters and tells you that Aun'Ui Vior'la Tai'Ryn, the master of the academy, has demanded that you go to the meeting chamber at once.
With no choice but to obey you follow the messenger and are quickly joined by a handful of other recently awoken students of the academy. In a matter of minutes you arrive at the meeting chamber, seated at the head of the table is Aun'ui Tai'ryn himself with an unfamiliar firewarrior seated at his side. The messegner ushers all of you to your seata before quickly departing the chamber. With a subtle note of authority in his voice Tai'ryn addresses you "I am sure you are wondering why you have been called to my chambers at this late hour, be assured, i am about to explain why in full detail." He motions to the unknown fire warrior who takes out a holo projector and switches it on.
a picture forms on the centre of the table and you can clearly see a battle taking place, what appears to be a regiment of imperial guardsmen against a full contingent of Tau from the Dal'yth sept. after you have all had a few seconds to take in this picture it zooms in to a particular portion of the battle. A crisis suit, obviously that of the shas'O, is being pounded by a barrage of lascannon fire. Suddenly the ejection system goes off and the suit explodes leaving a small crater behind. The parachute holding the shas'O glides directly into a squad of imperial guardsmen and the shas'O is taken hostage. Suddenly the holo projector is switched off and Tai'ryn continues. "what i have just shown you is footage from a battle that took place in the Fyr'tayn system about 3 rotaa ago (2 days)." He pauses slightly before continuing "The Shas'O you saw was Shas'O Dal'yth Kais'Vre, the High Commander of the Dal'yth system. He was one of the 2 commanders who had knowledge of the full defensive layouts for the Dal'yth system, the other is our belovced O'shaserra."
"As such it is of vital importance that we rescue him from his captors before they can force this knowldege out of him and put the whole sector at risk. The imperials on Fyr'tayn have threatened to execute Kais'vre if we do not withdraw from the system immediately, although the threat is probably bogus we have had to take it at face value." He pauses again, looking each of you in the eye before continuing. "This brings me to the reason you are here, you will be sent to the system of Fyr'tayn to rescue the commander, you have been trained for a mission such as this for years and i believe you all to be ready for this." He then indicates the firewarrior next to him "this is shas'ui ksi'm'yen mont'shas, he will lead you on your mission. I suggest you all go to the armoury and collect all the equipment you deem necessary before heading to the hagers, you will depart immediately. Mont'shas will give you further instructions before you arrive. Good luck."
