Hello hive, wolf star lists are quite popular in my area and they are doing pretty well. I will post two examples of wolf stars for 1850pts.
1. SW+DA

There are of course other versions of wolf stars, but these two lists were built by recent ETC champions.
Apart from being superb CC squad with T5, multiple wounds, 2+ armour save/3+ inv save and 2+ look out sir! (wounds are allocated to nearby fenrisian wolves or cyberwolves) and lots of S9 AP2 attacks they can join other units for additional bonuses, like:
-scouts - wolf star receive scout move at the beginning of the game, also it has objective secured special rule. This can be really nasty as wolfstar, being a big unit, can spread upon tabletop. Only one objective can be controlled at once, but this can still deny some mealstrom points.
-thunderfire cannon - not listed in armies I mentioned, but it can be taken and being artillery it makes wolf star T7. They may not assault as long as they are joined by TFC, but wolfstar may leave artillery unit in its own movement phase and then declare an assault. I will just clarify that ICs can move their own speed as long they maintain coherency with their unit, so TFC does not slow them down.
-bike command squad - they also move 12'' and confer feel no pain special rule to entire unit thanks to apothecary. Nice .
-fenrisian wolves - If You wondered why fenrisian wolves are part of the list, they are there to counter grav weapons. Wolf star joined by fenrisian wolves has majority armour save of 6+ so pretty nasty against gravs.
Also instead of 4th wolf lord, there is a rune priest. He confers adamantium will and is mastery level 2 with psychic hood, so extra protection against enemy psychic powers, but also he has jump pack for 12'' move and ability to assault units that stand on impossible terrain (such as enemy jump/jet infantry or jetbikes). This is pretty tricky, but only rune priest can be in base contact with the enemy, so only enemy models engaged in combat with wolf priest may attack (just reminding about 2+look out sir!) and all friendly models within 2'' horizontally and 6'' vertically can attack back, so all wolfstar models can attack through one wolf priest.
I am stunned by the beauty of wolf star lists. What do You think?
