how to clean sculpting tool? (glue and GS stuck on)

Yeah, my green stuff sculpting tool is kinda caked in super glue and dried green stuff, not sure how the glue got there. Anyway anybody have any advice on how to clean the thing? It's one of the GW ones. I'm thinking a LONG soak in simple green or something and a good scrubbing with a brush bit from my dremel might do the trick, but what do you guys say?

try soaking it in simple green first. may try freezing it as well, that's supposed to do a number on super glue bonds.

after you get the gunk off, be sure you're using lube on your tools. it's a night and day difference with how GS behaves and how easy it can be to work with.

water works, but there are better solutions. i use a silicone based lube they use on dental drills because i had some handy from work. Nivea hand cream is supposed to be good as well. be aware that you'll need to clean the surface between sessions/after curing if you add more GS to your base, and when you're finished before you prime and paint.

also, wear gloves (and very lightly lube the gloves where you may touch the GS). can't stress that one enough, no finger prints and the ability to easily smooth a surface with your fingertip are invaluable.

I have always used another hobby knife and simply scrape it off. never damaged a blade, works in seconds.
