How big can Capillary Towers get?

How big can Capillary Towers get? Does anyone know or know of fluff that says?

I want to scratch build a bastion for my Hive Fleet, and in my brainstorming I thought of the idea of making a counts-as bastion that mimics the size of the official Imperial one by making it looks as though it was the base of a truly massive Capillary tower (so it's as near to a rectangle as possible and doesn't have as much taper) that has been blasted away by some massive laser weapon and the top has been burnt or sheared off. The top would be flat with a bit of a lip of remaining carapace and show bits of the internal workings of the tower, which would represent the area on top that models can be placed and the battlements.

I'll upload a sketch later, but does anyone think this is a good idea to make a Bastion as close as possible to the dimensions of the Imperial one? Or will it look silly?

well they can be as big as you want fluff weise theye release spors in to the atmospheare so they can get really big

Aren't the capillary towers what the hive ships use to suck up all the collected biomass? If so, I'd say they get frickin huge, easily the size you want.

Capillary towers can be massive. I was going to make a 3 tier hill as the bottom 3 segments of an enormous tower but I mucked it up. I think it would work very well as a bastion.

Imperial Armour 4 (first edition) says that the average height of a Capillary Tower is 11.5 metres but in the summary it says, 'size of capillary towers vary widely'.

"The full function of capillary towers is not understood, but it appears that where they grow, digestion pools then start to appear. Later, the towers link up with the sucking proboscis feeding tubes of the hive ships in low orbit, which then pump the biomass upwards and distribute it to awaiting bio-vessels"
