OMG! Destiny: The Dark Below!

The Dark below expansion for Destiny is out and it is amazing! Really nice fresh new feel to the missions, what do you guys think?

Loving it, though I only got to play a few hours last night. will be having a bigger session tonight.

I'm on Xbox 360. The amount I've been able to experience of it is limited at the moment, my gold subscription ran out and it'll be a short while until I can renew it. But from what I CAN play it's awesome! The Murmur fusion rifle Eris gives you is sick!

my favorites are the new crucible maps. opened up dark below, hadnt even jumped to tower yet and went into crucible. first match was team deathmatch on cauldron and EVERYONE was using Murmur. EVERYONE. I just jumped around using Thorn at lvl 27, and smoked in with 20 kills, 4 deaths, 9 assists. man was it fun!

the new maps are wonderful, the old ones have a lot of pathways everyone follows, but the newer ones feel like there are SO many more blind angles for you to use.

Murmur is fun and all, but everyone is using it. seriously i think my FWC fusion rifle is better than that thing, the big use of it is in PvE where you dont waste ammo when switching between shock & solar.

Except what kind of damage doesn't matter in crucible, everyone has a generic white shield (not weak to a particular type). Oh wait I see! The solar version charges slower and hits harder, the arc has a fast charge and longer range.

my son plays it some; i haven't messed with it yet. between FF14 and 40k, i have enough stuff to occupy my time.

Wow... I'm surprised this hasn't sparked a debate over how good of a game Destiny is. Personally I give the base game an 8 and the DLC a 9. The game has a lot of potential, and if Activision will let Bungie off the leash it can realize it.

Yeah it's a pretty fine game IMO, though somewhat grindy online multiplayer games aren't everyone's cup of tea.

It is exactly my cup of tea. Any game that has chewed up an embarrassingly large amount of my valuable time has to be good for me.....

I'm fairly sure it will only improve with age (to a point and then Destiny 2 will be here).

Don't get me wrong, Advanced Warfare actually seems like a pretty cool game, but it doesn't introduce anything too terribly NEW. Just about everything Advanced Warfare does, another game does just as well, (double jump/exo suit gear stuff, Titanfall. Good campaign, Halo) now Destiny is the first game (on consoles) to effectively blend MMO style community and open world with seamless FPS gunplay that Bungie is famous for, and the VoG and Crota's End raids add a bit of puzzle elements, and an RPG style gear-leveling systems and boss battles. While not flawless, Destiny is certainly a HUGE step forward in the game industry.
