Hi guys,, its been a while since I last posted on the hive. Im the guy that used to moan about how good crones are, im sure coredump, gigasnail and daboarder remember me
Went up for ETC in serbia this year with this list: 2flyrants with egrubs, 3 units of 2 zoans 2 units of 3 rippers basic, 3 crones, 2 exocrines and a tfex with acid spray. Got myself 3 wins of 20-0 vs CSM with deamons (screamer star), Imperial guard allied with sisters (saint celestine in a unit of conscripts I believe can be a b**** if left unattended tho) and vs Orks+ necrons, 1 minor loss vs white scars with khoarrokhan, tigurius and centurions minibomb and 2 massacres vs tau with farsight detachment and an eldar and dark eldar mix with those beasts the deldar have with beastmasters, vect, eldrad and spirit seers all in 1 unit, invisible with foreboding etc etc...
Overall did quite well had it not been fr some really bad matchups by my captain lol, took 1 for the team vs the tau guy, the white scars and delda+eldar games though were just really really bad match ups by the capt. Overall the crones really performed well!! Vs the csm+ deamons they took down his troops and popped tanks, v strike took down 2 transports, missiles overkilled maulerfiends then took objectives in the last turn and maelstrom during the game, zoanthropes and tfex kept the screamer star in combat from turn 2, rippers held 2 backfield objectives, flyrants and exos killed the spawns with the csm HQs on bikes. Vs imperial guard guy, crones and flyrants destroyed the 2 executioner tanks of the sisters+ that unit of tanks with the blasts of the imperial guard, forgot their names, and 3 transports, but the crones really shined burning all the imperial troops to bbq level and against orks the same thing, popped the 2 battlewagons and fried the orks, though those fnp saves from the pain boy made this take longer, the men(bugs?) of the match tho were a unit of zoans that kept a necron overlord stuck in combat from turn 2 till the end of the game and gave him 2 wounds
Anyway, you may now be asking why Is this in the armylist page? Well, im now tired of playin MC spam and have currently tried and tested this list a few times, which is a major swarm list just not tgants, played vs another white scar list and annihilated it this time, against farsight bomb and against a centurion bomb with draigo and tigurius plus termie troops and got like 20+ pts thnx to maelstrom and objectives.

1 Flyant on each flank, then meet in the middle most of the time, 3 units of gargs in front, 2 units of hgaunts spread abit more spaced out behind them, termagaunts behind that, with 2 units of zoans 1 mid-left and 1 unit mid-right while placing 2 objectives on each side of my d.zone out of LoS for the rippers to claim and be forgotten about till the end. Plan is to move the gargs and hgaunts as fast up and fire fleshborers and then assault, gargs take the brunt so hgaunts can claim objectives at end of game and help in the assault after overwatch was taken on the gargs. Vs fliers i try to cover table well so either he cant place it and gets destroyed or atleast make him place it were I want it to restrict his firing on my flyrants and maybe even get his rear with them. Termagants stay mid table in case anything tries to take the gargs and hgaunts from the rear and any mid table objectives, zoans fire w.lance/blast which is effective and does pop tanks and kill termies out of cover as since you have 2 its like a TL warp lance /blast with the possibility of getting 2 hits, plus buffing units or making opponent pin n stuff, being annoying basically.
I think the major problem for this list is lots of armor lists.
What do you like or add would/remove??
