You are the Ordo Astartes, the Angel Hunters. You are tasked with the nigh impossible task of hunting and destroying those Saints who have fallen from the emperor's grace. Your order is hidden in shadows, it's member's drawn from the myriad member's of the imperium of man, each and everyone an incarnation of death itself. You are a myth, a legend meant to keep The countless followers of the Imperium from straying from the light. Or are you?
Your order has all but dissapeared across the millenia, only a handful of it's members remain. You spend the years locating and destroying all of the heretic saints that you can, continuing the work of your predecessors. Your battlescarred strike cruiser Holy Flame uses cloaking and scanning technology long thought lost by the imperium. You are a relic, all that remains of a dying order.
After centuries of searching your long range scanners have finally located the greatest of your enemies, The Fallen Angel Estriol, on the artifact world of Kyner. Making all speed to the world you are soon speeding to the surface in a thunderhawk, the greatest challenge of your lives awaiting.

Joining: write up a character and post him/her/it in this thread before 24/8/07.
Character Creation: you can be any type of imperial person (within reason) - be as creative as you like, your chracters are amongst the most powerful warriors in the imperium! just remember no immortality/invincibility or the like, i will tone down a character if i think it is a bit too powerful.
Naming: when naming your character start with Angel Hunter/Huntress then your chosen name, you will be addressed informally by this chosen name.
Equipment: you can have just about any equipment you like however you can only ever have 1 heavy weapon + light equipment or 2 medium weapons + light equipment at any one time. you can have any type of armour available in the imperium and any other equipment you like within reason.
Rules:
1. all actions you wish to perform must be posted up on the role play thread, they will be worked out by me on a daily basis.
2. you may not refuse a ruling by me for an action you attempt to perform, you may ask why your action went as it did however.
3. your actions in a combat situation must be achievable in a short time frame.

Name: Angel Hunter Requiem Age: 831 Appearance: Requiem is average height and build for a Space marine, his head is shaved and his entire body is covered in countless scares of battle. His eyes are dark and threatening and his deep voice, though quiet seems to fill the room and capture the attention of all who listen. Background: Born in the back water world of Solano, Requiem showed a great talent for combat and mental prowess. When he reached adulthood he and his family readied themselves for a trip to the nearest tour world of the Space Marines that controlled the region, so that he might be chosen to join them, but before he could leave he disappeared and was never seen again. And his service to the Angel Hunters began. Other: In combat Requiem wields a gold coloured great sword, with extraordinary speed and skill, even for a space marine, and although he is capable of psychic power he has not disciplined himself well enough to truly control it. He can use it to shoot bolts of energy at targets from a short distance, and sometimes create a force field, but his powers a unruly and often out of control, controlled nearly purely by his emotions. Which can lead to unexpected bursts of power, and potentially dangerous psychic backlash. Equipment: Vindicator (great sword that potentially works as a nemesis power weapon), Artificer Armour (spiked, painted black with deep red trim and adorned with flames), various grenades & other combat gear (that all hardened veteran types should have).
OOC: for those of you who don't know a great sword is basically a wide 6 foot long sword that is usually wielded slowly, but powerfully

just to let you guys know you can have funky stuff like wings, archeo-tech weapons (really sweet weapons like the spear of telesto) or any other non evil/chaos stuff you can think of.

Appearance: Tatain is of average build with ice blue eyes and bright white armour on his chest is the emblem of a fiery angel, he always wear his helmit
Background: born in a hive world he showed great combat prowess and unbending faith in the emperor at a young age he joined the black templars after many crusades he caught the eye of an inquisitor after he single handedly killed a carnifex the marine was drafted into the inquisitors retinue but the inquisitor was killed in battle he tuck command of the inquisitors forces and coordinated assualts on the tyranid forces, troop ships arrived to evacuate the facility it is said it took 3 hours to clear the corpses so a ship could land on the landing pad he was given the title of inquisitor taking an interest in chaos he charged headfirst into a crusade against a system that had fallen to the foul taint of chaos with but a few years he had won most of the system back but most of it had to extermitas this is when he became part of the angel hunters.
equipment: most of the time he carries a meltagun and and two swords strapped to his hips.

Name: Angel Hunter 'Scope' Alexian
Age: 125
Background/Apperance: Previously a scout for the Blood Ravens chapter, Alexian is naturally adapted for the infiltration roll. He is neither to short, nor to tall, and his jet black cropped hair has streaks of silver in it. When fighting on Manalorian V, the rest of his squad was wiped out on a mission to assasinate the govener. Alexian somehow got away, and proceeded to infiltrate his way into the PDF and kill the govener that way, before posing as an unconsious guard to throw off the scent. Stuck on the planet, he lived a life of crime acting as a mercenaryfor those with a grudge to settle, getting faster and more accurate with his sniper rifle as time went on.
Eventually he met and befriended an Eldar Ranger, who gifted Alexian with his equipment when he died. It was during the tyranid invasion of the said planet when a 100 year old Alexian saved the life of one of the late commanders of the Angel Hunters, blasting off a beserk ogryns head with a single shot. (It was during these last 25 years that the master sniper earned the nickname Scope amongst his peers, due to his uncanny, almost unhuman accuracy.)
Equipment: Alexian is armed with his old friends Ranger Long Rifle, captured Eldar technology that lets him see as if he was looking down the barrel of his gun (Dark Reaper style), Scout Armour, a power knife, and his friends Eldar chamelioline cloak.
Other: Alexian is the sniper of his squad, and so will hardly ever be seen. He also prefers to be referred to as "Scope" when he is sniping.

Name: Inquisitor Vulcas Age: Unknown Appearance: Tall, Black, Male, with dark green eyes and bald head. One eye is replaced with a red bionic sensor. Background: Once the hunter for the Daemon Hunters the inquisitor was drawn to the creation of the Angel Hunters at it's creation. Now one of the last surviving Inq in the order, he seeks to end this hunt once and for all! Equipment: Force Sword, Plasma Pistol, Artificer Armour and a Holy Relic.

Name: Angel Hunter Hellroth Age: Over 1100. (He was alive when the current blood angel chapter master was born, sorry, mental blank and I dont remember his name right now.) Apperance: An easy 7 foot, he was blone hair and an african tone of skin. Lithe. Background: He came from the planet Nocturne. At the age of 7 Terran years, the Time Of Trial began. He was one of the few people his age to survive. HE was the only to become an aspariant for the Salamanders, but he was too young, and was sent away. The Angel Hunters saw his potential and took him in. When he was in training (Age 12) he got in a fight with an armed crew member, and killed him with his bare hands. In this fight, most muscels in his body were slit, and had to be replaced. Using Titanium ropes, his muscels were replaced. This has given him a deceptivly fast pace, and his reactions are an incredible speed. His muscels do not get bigger if he works out, nor do they get stronger. Equipment: In memory of his homeplanet, he weilds a Thunder Hammer, and power sword, melta bombs, frag grenades,krak grenades, and he crafted him self "Artificer Armour" using his spare time. This took him over a centruary to make. His helmet is similar to that of an apothocary.

once i get my 10 players this is going to start even if i get them before the startup date, if you are interested get in quick!

Name: Inquisitor Lord (Lady? Lordess?) Karla Age: 548 Appearance: Tall and lean, Karla has bubblegum pink hair and piercing blue eyes, her very prescence is enough to bring fear into the very hearts of her enemies whilst redoubling the efforts of her allies. Her pure white wings were granted to her by the Emperor himself, helping her to dispense his will to traitors. She wears a plain white robe, she requires no armour, her immense psychic powers shielding her from all but the mightiest of blows. Background: She was initiated into the order at the age of 9 when her psychic powers first started to show, she is by far one of the greatest psykers this galaxy has ever seen - her centuries of training focusing her already enormous power. since her initiation she has been one of the most avid and useful of the order's member's until finally she was granted the title of inquisitor lord. Equipment: an anadorned wooden quarterstaff which is imbued with immense psychic powers.
OOC: this is the NPC character who will (hopefully) help direct you in what to do during the campaign and stop the almost inevitable struggle for leaderdship amongst the players.

I reckon. I will have a slightly more mysterious character.... Name: Angel Huntress Valdania Kroth Age: Unknown, but you would hazard a guess at 100-110 Background: Picked up from the fringes of the Eye of Terror by the Ordo Astartes about ten years ago, wearing ancient black power armour with gold and silver trim, desperately injured. She has proven herself a worthy ally and has fought valiantly across the galaxy. She is about 6'11" with golden hair and fair, if a little hawkish features. In combat she uses a combi incinerator, an ancient pistol and a (please do not swear) sword (a cross between a long sword and a great sword). She is always polite and will take part in conversation, but never start one and is often seen staring into space.

Name: Venerable Dreadnaught Xavian Koslo Age: Over 5,000 years old. He remembers the Age of Apostasy, so he's plenty old. Background: Xavian fought for a thousand years in the Dark Angels chapter, before nearly dying in a battle during the 11th Black Crusade. He was entombed in the sarcophagus of a mighty seige dreadnaught. He is encased in extra armor, draped in holy cloths, relics, and texts, and the huge promethium tanks for his inferno cannon and heavy flamer are blessed, and will be proven, as they have been multiple times before, against the heretic and the traitor. Equipment: Inferno cannon, heavy flamer assault drill, extra armor, cyclone missile launcher attached onto one shoulder, blessed promethium, assault cannon attached to the other shoulder

Name: Tech-marine Hassel Age: 367 Appearence: Bald, the majority of his flesh is covered with ornately paturned electoos. Generally in combat he appears as a mass of mechadendrites, coiling around each other making the actual body Hassel hard to make out. Background: Originally of the blood angels Hassel excelled in the ways of the machine spirit and was soon sent to Mars for training on the path of the tech priest. Once there he continued to shine and his devotion to the Machine God was rewarded with many gifts including a bionic right arm, bionic left eye, mechadendrites and an extensive array of electoos (metal circuits embedded in the skin of the techpriest to allow them to channel electricity). Through his study Hassel also found out an ancient (and rarely used) ritual once more common, the Autosanguination. This process (by which a persons blood is completely replaced with a more economical fluid - allowing even more enhanced regeneration than a normal marine, and to work for prolonged periods without tiring) was believed by Hassel to possibly be a cure for the black rage that he and his brothers were cursed with.
Equipment: Artificer armour, a single servo arm, bionic right arm, heat detection - bionic left eye, mechadendrites and electoos. Hassel very rarely caries weapons, instead he sends bolts of electrical charge from his finger tips and mechadendrites into the enemy, shorting out force fields, burning flesh and causing heart failure. Because of the nature of the electrical attack the more armour a target is wearing the more damage it sustains. He can also charge up the monomolecular blades attached to the end of some of his mechadendrites to impale a victim and then electricute him/her. When not attacking with his electrical power he can send pulses of electricity through his skin and armour, reducing the damage from solid projectile weapons as they dissintergrate and melt....
