Competitive Necrons, 1500 (No FW)

I'm vaguely considering attending a large-ish tournament come fall, and would like to bring necrons if I do (quick to paint, solid codex, and not an army I dislike). So, I'm fairly set at what style I'd like to play but can't decide on the specifics. The big question is: Should bring my Overlord in a CCB, or should I sacrifice the CCB for another Nightscythe?

Both lists are basically blitzkrieg style, using an AV13 core on the ground, supported by air-dropped special forces of either anti-infantry or anti-vehicle.

Same number of troops in both, but the latter lists obviously spreads them thinner. Comments on general viability/competiveness is also appreciated.

On a vaguely related note, I think a really novel paint/conversion scheme for Necrons would be a Weird World War / Dead Snow / Iron Sky mashup. ie. Nazi Zombies in flying saucers/croissants. Reanimation protocols would fit right into the theme. I don't consider myself skilled enough to pull it off myself, but would be sweet if someone else picked up the idea.

Edit: Apparently Lords of War will be allowed - would these lists be able to stand up to that?

If they want to allow LoW, then you might have problems actually dealing with the non-vehicle ones. Bring a Trancedent C'tan and watch them never allow LoW again (its silly broken, even by apoc standards its insane).

Hm, I was playing around with the idea of Tesseract Vault, but a Trancendent C'tan would be a lot easier to tuck away somewhere safe with its' small size. It's quite pricey though.

What loadout would you suggest? At first glance Antimatter Meteor, Wave of Withering, and Storm of Heavenly Fire (simply to keep cost down) seems to be pretty solid choices, but does come in at 740 points. Pretty hefty at 1500 points.

Mind, the rules aren't set in stone yet, so it could be buffed up to 1750, which would make fitting in troops and support a lot easier.

Edit: It's possible to bring dual Waves of Withering, so together Transliminal Stride that gives max cheese grilling factor. So possibly something like this:

1500 spot on. For 1750 add another AB and NS and swap SW for WS on overlord.

Just a small comment from me, but after the last few apoc games I've played I can, in pretty good confidence, say the safest place for the Transcendent C'tan is wherever the Noswear it wants to be. In fact, you can get that transliminal slide upgrade and just put it in your enemy lines as quick as you can. Then, shoot like mad and let it die. Its death is just as horrifying as having it alive.
