I'm hoping local TO's will lift the ban on digital formations. Looking to finally get to test the Manofactorum Formation.
How could I get the most out of it, assuming modified maelstrom missions? I'm thinking MSU with a lot of pressure.

Hmm. Can't say that it looks very good.

I would take bastion or ADL with comms relay for this army. Either way why do You take Tyrant Guards?

I don't know about ADL+Comms, it's a hefty investment just for 3 Mawlocs and the occasional Lictor. Most likely I'll infiltrate the Lictors.
Tyrant Guards because they fit the MSU theme, they are cheap and tough synapse-independant units that can grab objectives.
You could be right though, switching Tyrant Guards for ADL+Comms. Not sure if the tournament will lift the no-fortification restriction.

Well, if You plan to infiltrate with most of Your forces, comms relay may not be that useful. As for MSU list I think lictor formation would be better, but I have never tried genestealers, so I am really curious how this list would preform 2000pts tournament sounds perfect for 3 WKs and wave serpent spam. When I am about to play MSU list I always fear eldars. Lictors can deepstrike and shoot at rear armour. They also have chances to strip away some wounds from WKs in CC. Genestealers won't hurt them. Do You have some ideas how to deal with such eldar list?

Yes I have. Wait 3-4 weeks until the new Eldar codex is out, and Waveserpent spam will likely be just an evil memory.
One thing about Mawlocs, they don't sit well with Genestealer spam. 'Oops, that was my own unit'.

The great devourer cares not from whence the biomass flows, so long as it flows.

Nah, that would be Khorne. I think GW hit the nail on the head with Blood Tithe, it's both fluffy and powerful. Very in-character for Khorne.
But now that you mention it, we should definately get something army-wide to the likes of Blood Tithe, to reflect how all is biomass and The Great Devourer grow stronger as it devourer things. Occasional Fearless doesn't cut it anymore. Returning units (4th ed Termagants, Endless Swarm, Skyblight Gargoyles, Sporefield units), regeneration effects (Dimachaeron after-dinner FNP), tactical effects (Maw Claws). It's already in there, GW just need to take it to the next level. Cut off 10-15 formations and give us the rules inherent instead.
Daemons have the advantage of getting instant magical effects, like Blood Tithe. Magic solves everything, and unlike Tyranid evolution, doesn't need to be explained. I would feel more like a stretch (to put it mildly) having, say, a Tyrannocyte with a bunch of Warriors drop down from the sky the instant your forces has killed an enemy unit. Did the biomass teleport up to the bioship and down again in a new shape? We should be able to get some other boons, inherent.

The obvious answer is Adaptive Regeneration for all synapse creatures, against wounds from a weapon that any synapse creature has taken a wound from.
On top of that, preferred enemy for all units in synapse, against any unit (army list entry) that you have destroyed 1 or more of on a previous turn. E.g against the 2nd+ wave Serpent/tactical squad/DA squad/summoned horror squad. Would help combat spam lists nicely.

I could live with normal regeneration and normal PE making its way to special rules.

We had the big Fantasia Fanatic tournament last weekend, I brought Hive Fleet Beer&Pretzels.
Deathleaper Meleerant - Wings, Old Adversary, Adrenal Glands, Reaper of Obliterax, Rending Claws, Egrubs

I fared a bit worse than expected, ended at #59 out of 82 attendees, 41/100 victory points.
First game was against other Tyranids, pretty similar build. He played really slow and we only got 3 turns in. Would've tabled him turn 4. 12-8 win.
Second game was against old Eldar, he backed off and shot me down, conceeded in turn 3. 0-20 loss.
Third game was bad luck, I was finally at the bottom half of the tables were I expected chill matchups against bad armies. Typically I met the only Tau down there, a dude who wasn't the best player but Tau are still a really hard counter army. He went first and shot me off the table which btw was pretty barren. Didn't help that I forgot my warlord trait (take 3 pinning tests at the start of the game). Conceeded in turn 2. 0-20 loss.
Fourth game against other close combat Tyranids, a pleasant dude who's an awesome converter. I tabled him by turn 4. 20-0 win.
Fifth game against Vulcan Space Marines with TFC and Centurions and Space Wolf allies. Crazy table with two large impassable pieces centrally, he dropped a pod between them and I was forced to swing around the sides. Had some bad luck with important rolls. 9-11 loss.
Flyrant did some work against Tyranids, killed a brood of 3 double ScyTals Carnifexes and a Hive Tyrant. Shrikes were great against Tyranids.
Had a great time at least. Atrocity from TTH grabbed 2nd place with his 4 Flyrants/4 Mawlocs list, a german ETC player grabbed #4 with a 3 Flyrant list (and a podded Toxicrene!) and there was a Tyranid list at #9 with 4 Flyrants/podded Tfex.
A White Scars/Tau army won.

(Thank you for this thread, its very inspiring.) I see that you do not put rippers and tyrannocytes in the same lists. Is there a reason or is it just coincidence?

No immediate plans Jabberwocky, I play about one game per week.
karamazov, I don't know, I used a lot of deepstriking Rippers before we got Mucolids that are so cheap that they allow us to bring more heavy hitters to the table. And with Tyrannocytes I want to pod stuff that can put out the hurt when they arrive. Rippers only role is basically to fill up the troop requirement and grab objectives with their Obsec, I've come to prefer Mucolids.
I had another list posted elsewhere that I used in a game yesterday;
Stealer Shock
Hive Fleet Detachement Dakka Flyrants, Egrubs Dakka Flyrants, Egrubs Dakka Flyrants, Egrubs
Mucolid Mucolid Mucolid
6 Raveners, Rending Claws 6 Raveners, Rending Claws 9 Shrikes, Adrenal Glands, Toxin Sacs, Flesh Hooks. 1 Sword&Whip/Rending Claws, 2 Sword&Whip/Scything Talons, 6 Rending Claws/Scything Talons
Manufactorum Formation 5 Genestealers 5 Genestealers 5 Genestealers 5 Genestealers 5 Genestealers

This list looks really fun on paper, lot of my favourite models and cc focus, and it really puts the pressure on, especially if going first. Everything charges turn 2, except Flyrants and Mucolids ofc.
When I arrived at the club the guy I was playing announced he was fielding a Baneblade. It was ok with me, he's not the most competitive guy and really wanted to test his good looking toys.
He had Yarrik in a blob, and a lvl 2 Psyker in there too, lots of dudes with a couple of flamers. Command Squad with 2 flamers. 5 Heavy weapon teams with battlecannons(?) 2x1 Wyverns 1 Whirlwhind Baneblade Allies – 5 White Scar bikers with grav guns and S8 chapter master
There was a ruin centrally and one to his right I could infiltrate, so 4 brood were infiltrated there and one in the open as screen for Raveners.
He won the roll to go first, there was no nigh fighting and no LOS blocking terrain and had no Venomthrope, so I expected to be shot to hell. But the Baneblade didn’t have ignore cover so I weathered most of it, first S9 pie plate went on the Shrikes behind a ruin. Genestealers were mostly dead after two turns thanks to Wyverns and guardsmen fire, (two models survived until Yarrik popped back up and killed them in combat). He didn’t manage to kill any whole unit turn 1.
My turn 1, Raveners charged the blob and bikers because he was a bit too aggressive, Flyrants started to whittle down his heavy weapon teams and I flamed the Command Squad (sitting in a small ruin tight spot) for First Strike point. Raveners killed the blob except Yarrick and psyker, with assistans from a Flyrant, and the other brood killed the Bikers and held up the chapter master in spite of his S8 also thanks to help from a Flyrant
Raveners killed Yarrick and psyker in his turn, so they could charge again my turn 2 and clear a Heavy Weapon Team and back onto an objective for maelstrom, the other Raveners survived since the Chapter Master Hit and Ran from them in his turn. They killed a heavy weapon team before sitting on an objective and getting killed by the Chapter Master. Mucolids deepstruck down and did nothing. Shrikes assaulted a weapon team + Wyvern and killed both eventually. Flyrants helped killing off both Wyverns.
Baneblade killed all but 1 Shrike with the pie plate and Thunderblitzed Raveners. Took ineffective pot shots at the Flyrants, but managed to kill my warlord in the end.
Flyrant Psychic Screamed and shot off another two weapon teams, before finishing the Whirlwind.
Flyrants killed Yarrick for good, and finished the Chapter master in the end. He had only the Baneblade left, I had two Flyrants, 2 Mucolids, 1 Shrike and 2 Raveners. Tallying up the point for Maelstrom, First Strike, Warlord, Linebreaker and getting the most kill points it was a 19-1 win to Tyranids.
My list felt a bit weak and too dependant on getting the first turn, but was fun to play with the Genenstealers in your face pressure, cc focus and lots of gorgeous Warrior/Shrike models. Will try again against some other army.
