If the Cthulhu fought the Hive Mind, who would win?

But if the horrors from the Cthulhu mythos fought the Great Devourer, who would win? And WHY?!

The Cthulhu mythos, if they all worked together, and the stars aren't in some crippling configuration. The Hive Mind eats the Universe, one Galaxy at a time. The Mi-Go alone occupy several Universes.

Heck, given enough time, Cthulhu himself could probably do it alone, since the Hive Mind is incapable of speech, and thus couldn't perform the rituals to bind or completely destroy him.

I've never really delved much into the mythos aside from what Lovecraft himself wrote. Having read a substantial part of his ouvre, I always fall short when I'm met with modern interpretations of his works. The unfathomable, incomprehensible horrors of the cosmos do tend to get a bit too... quantified, in my opinion. Anyway, a much more compelling question would be what happened if the Hive Mind somehow absorbed Cthulhu & Co or vice versa.

Aren't the Mi-Go supposed to be the size of a man? Maybe on some strange planet they grow hideously large to rival the size of gargantuan Tyranid monsters.

The WHOLE Cthulhu Mythos would obviously stomp the Tyranids, but I'm not sure which is more psychically powerful between a Great Old One and his servants VS a Norn Queen and her fleet... (I'm talking of the Great Old Ones in the ORIGINAL stories, not modern interpretations where they're absurdly op). I THINK the Hive Mind would be slightly superior, not sure.

I think this would come down to whether it is possible to drive the hive mind to madness. If so, edge goes to Cthulhu, if not I would bet on the nids.

I don't think it's possible. Cthulhu drives HUMANS insane by revealing how complex reality truly is, which shatters their beliefs and overwhelms them since their brains can't process so many informations. But the Tyranids don't have any beliefs nor care how reality truly works, they just adapt, survive and evolve, also if a Norn Queen is able to process the infornations of over a BILLION Tyranid minds at once, she should be able to process Cthulhu's without getting overwhelmed. Cthulhu would be like "This is how the universe really works, good luck adapting to THAT! Mwahaha!" and she'd just reply "Why thanks, now I know how I must evolve to survive on the long-term."

But on the other hand, the Shadow in The Warp wouldn't drive Cthulhu insane either. He has great knowledge on the universe so it'd take more than a billion psychic communications to impress him.

It'd all depends on who wins in raw psychic strength. Cthulhu should be able to enslave a few Tyranids surrounding him, but to truly take over the army, he'd need to surpass their queen. He could try to manipulate the reality around him or escape to another planet, but the Norn Queen would probably focus all her psychic powers into weakening such abilities, just like she can block Warp Travels or weaken psykers. He could try to physically fly up to the Hive Ship and kill her, but good luck dodging the ship's firepower with his crippled abilities. And like I said, I'm not 100% sure which is truly stronger psychically, but even if it's Cthulhu, the fight would still be close, the Tyranid army should have time to physically devour him before he can win.
