So I've decided to reboot my Eldar army with their shiny new codex, with the hopes of making a fairly powerful list.
I generally avoid the most popular choices, though couldn't avoid Wave Serpents as the only real transport option.
I have avoided Aspect warriors and anything that would lend itself to a specific craftworld as I prefer to build my own themes/fluff.
So anyways, here it is:
Farseer - Singing Spear - Telepathy
Spiritseer - Telepathy/RoB
7 Warlocks - Singing Spears
10 Storm Guardians, 2 flamers, 2 power swords, Wave Serpent with TL Scatter Laser - 1 Warlock goes here, ideally destructor or combat power
10 Storm Guardians, 2 flamers, 2 power swords, Wave Serpent with TL Scatter Laser - 1 Warlock goes here, ideally destructor or combat power
10 Storm Guardians, 2 fusion guns, Wave Serpent with TL Bright Lance - 1 Warlock goes here, probably a conceal
Falcon, Pulse Laser and Bright Lance, Spirit Stones - Council goes here, hoping for Invisibility for 2+ jinks
Vyper - 2x Shuricannons
Vyper - 2x Shuricannons
2 War Walkers - 2x Scatter Lasers
Wraithlord - 2 flamers, Bright Lance and Scatter Laser
So I have reasonable Lance output, coupled with some MC and Melta if the enemy heavy vehicles push forward. The Wave Serpents can hang back if appropriate putting out a lot of anti-infantry and anti-light vehicle.
War Walkers and Vypers try and flank the enemy, getting side/rear armour shots in or just clearing infantry and keeping out of trouble.
The Warlock council will ideally have the Leadership power, letting me abuse Psy Shriek, Dominate, Terrify on the enemy with -3 LD, otherwise will just use Invisibility and cover to slowly work their way through the enemy with their pitiful number of attacks.
I think I have anti-tank pretty well covered and math-hammering against Tervigons (as Nids are my main infantry based opponent) leaves me confident. Any suggestions on tweaks or improvements?
I'm tempted to drop all my power swords since they are way overpriced, but I like the idea of combining them with the -1 armour save power to break Terminators or just helping the unit actually win a combat against a tactical squad.
