When we do music threads around here, metal, in its various forms, generally comes out on top. I don't have time to give that a listen right at the moment, but I'll give it a spin tomorrow and let you know what I think.

This is pretty damn impressive for a live track, i would suggest having the bass and mid-range higher in the mix but that may just be the recording

Yeah, these are literally straight from the reel of tape to a rackmount cd burner, no mastering. It's also just a guitar and drums. Thanks for the compliment, hope ya enjoy it.

Finally got a chance to give it a listen. Pretty good stuff, but I do think you guys could really use a bass player. Black Metal can get by without one, but pretty much any other sub-genre ends up sounding kind of hollow without that low end. You've both definitely got some serious chops, tho.

I have a pretty unique setup so our lows are really good, but its a really deep low that unfortunately vibrates mics away so its really hard to record. The guy we recorded with is also pretty oldschool si he mixed it that way. We are looking for a bassist but it's hard to find serious bassists!

Good bass players are always the hardest part of a band to find. Someone who can keep up and fit in with this is gonna be very rare. But it'll kick your sound way up if you can find him, I'm pretty sure.

And yeah, I did hear a couple of bits where you were getting down into that range, but it's still not quite the same as having a proper bass in there.

Yeah, mid-lows just aren't as solid. Well send it around to any metalheads ya know, maybe we'll get lucky!
