My characters are a prime reason for why TH should have spoilers X3
And sorry but I just gave up checking for typo's after writing that. I'll do it in a bit when my creative juices get flowing again
Name: Yip, The Laughing Hunter
Everyday alias: Alister Hayashi
Age: 17
Types/Subtypes: Magical, Anti-Skill: Delta "Pack"
Magical skills:
Lycanthropey (See notes)- Omega strain:
Smaller than other Lycanphropes, Omega's are the literal bottom rung of the pack ladder in terms of social status because of their lack in strength. However Omega's fill an important role in a pack as their mutation allows them to be much more agile than others and will often give them additional abilities in either the form of magic or esper powers. They are also quick thinkers which adds to their typical mischievous personalities. Their Wolf form echo's this as it is smaller than other Lyanphopes and while they are stronger than in human form its not by much. Instead they gain a large boost in speed and agility, as well as brain functions which with their magical/epser powers makes Omega's as deadly a hunter as their Alpha cousins when they want to be.
Doppelganger: This ability allows Yip to create a copy of an object he is holding or recently touched with little effort what so ever, though if he lets go of the object in question it will only exist for a few seconds before fading away, unless he focus's on the object specifically. At the moment he is only capable of replicating small objects and his own appearance, but finds it much harder to keep the larger image of himself stable and can't copy other objects while doing it.
Trickster: Like Doppelganger, Trickster affects objects that Yip is either holding or recently touched. However instead of copying an object it swaps it with the location of another. This takes a bit of effort on Yip's part and can only be used on objects around the same size as each other but at times has proved to be life saving for both Yip and his teammates. At others however its just annoying...
School: Fifth Point Elementary: School for the naturally gifted
Biography: Most would call being born into a high ranking family a lucky turn of events for any child but when your born with a set of dog ears and a tale nearly any parent would panic. Especially when said family has strong ties to the church who's very duty is to hunt your kind down. But thankfully even cold blooded monster hunters have a conscience. Or at least something like one. Instead of ending their son there and then the merciful parents decided to give him a chance at life. Even if it was just a chance. So with that decided they did the logical thing nearly every parent would have made: abandon him in an area suspected to be full of bloodthirsty monster just like him.
Thankfully for him though Lycanphropes have a good sense of hearing and unlike humans don't leave their own to die before they can even walk, and so with little debate the young pup was taken in by a small pack of his own kind and nicknamed Yip for the way that even at a young age he tried to bark at anything that moved. For the first few years of his life Yip was brought up in the life of a constantly hunted monster, spending most of his time hiding from the church's agents and people in general. That was until he was twelve. He and his dwindling pack where camped close to human city when a division of the church found them, and when your group is mostly made up of half starved men and women you don't stand much of a chance against against trained soldiers armed to the teeth in weapons to kill your kind.
But instead of running Yip decided to help, which in truth accomplished nothing but it was a nice gesture, little more. Soon into the fighting Yip was incapacitated and only through the kindness of another did he survive, as his small form was dragged away while the soldiers where still busy. When he woke up Yip found himself in the unknown human city with no sight of his savior, leaving him with very little choice but to adapt to his new environment which turned out to be idea for someone of his kind and condition to live without too much danger, as long as you kept your ears hidden.
It wasn't soon after that that Yip's powers began to manifest putting him on par with most low level esper's but brought up a new problem as it was illegal to have powers unless you where part of a school. But to be a part of school you needed money. Which he didn't have. That was until he managed to get into a fight with a mid level esper which ended in the esper knocked out with his lunch stolen. This brought about the attention of Anti-Skill who not knowing of Yip's genetic condition offered him a future position which he agreed to as long as they funded his education.
But that didn't mean he had somewhere to live, though to be honest Yip preferred to live with the sky over his head. And on the streets he grew up, going to school along with other magic uses and when he was old enough joining Anti-Skill, which he has been a valuable agent for years, though due to his less than appropriate behavior he has never advanced in rank though he did get his own freelance "pack" with his fellow wolf Kaala. And even though he see's only a few of his own kind the city is a haven for Yip, as not only does it provide him with a way of life but also allows him to live along with humans (even if it is in secret) without anyone trying to kill him.
Description: For the most part Yip looks pretty average for someone of his age, standing at 5'8" he has light brown hair that hangs just above his eyes and halfway down his neck. His features do look a little young which go with his pale blue eyes to give him a friendly face which is usually set into a grin that shows off his sharper than average canines. His body is pretty lean with only a slight amount of muscle but with his more than human body he can pack more punch then someone else his size. But the most abnormal feature of his body is the two brown, dog like ears that take the place of his normal ears which are usually covered by a black and red striped beanie, along with a wolfish tail that spends most of its time stuffed down the back oh his blue jeans. Other than that he wears a cheap grey shirt and white hoodie.
Any Weapons: A double edged combat knife, perfectly balanced for throwing.
Skills:
Concrete survivalist- Being more use to being outside than in, Yip has picked up several skills that allow him to thrive in an urban environment without needing to buy a thing. These include stealing, lock picking, scavenging and the ability to eat almost anything in large quantities.
Altered ears- Because of his Lycanphrope mutation Yip has the hearing skills of his wild cousins.
Omega strain- As stated before being an Lycanphrope Omega Yip is much lighter on his feet and quicker in the mind most, which lets him move around much faster than a normal human, much to the annoyance of most.
Street runner- With his personality and skills it was only natural that Yip would learn how to run away as best he could.
Personality: In many ways Yip's personality is much like his more wild cousin Omega's, being happy and outgoing there is usually a joke for any situation. Problem is not everyone finds these jokes funny and when you spend most of your life away from other people you don't have the social skills to know when to stop, which often makes Yip one of those people you either love or hate. Yip also finds it hard to hide his emotions which are usually expressed in a weird assortment of growls and ear movements, and can change at just a moments notice.
Other Possessions: Backpack, spare cloths, nearly empty wallet, cheap phone that's seen better days, iPod, pair of special headphones and just random bits and pieces he's picked up along the way.
Other Notes:
Lycanphropey- Tales of wolf people have been in human cultures for centuries and it turns out many weren't far from the truth. Lycanphropey takes the form of an very rare recessive gene that seems to be given out at random, meaning it is even more unlikely that two carriers will get together to create a child with Lycanthrope powers, though when they do the types of genes they carry will decide what strain of Lycanphrope the child will be and with them their powers. The most common types are "Pack's" who are the ones often told about in children's tales. The second rarest after that are the "Alpha's" who are often stronger than most and capable leaders. The most uncommon by far however are the "Omega" strains that are smaller and more agile than their other brothers, but are also the most undesirable as other Lycanphropes will look down on them.
Normally they look like every day people with the exception that Lycanphropes will often sport mutations that echo their more primal side, often taking the form of wolf like ear's, teeth, tails, eyes and in some extreme cases fur. As humans they also gain perks corresponding to their strain such as strength for Alpha's and speed for Omega's. All Lycanphropes in human form however tend to have much better senses than humans. In their wolf form however Lycanphopes turn into creatures of myth as they become hulking wolf like predators, who's appearance is often dictated by their strain, but whatever they are all are deadly in their own right.
