Vierna nodded moving forward at a quick creep. She didn't like the eyes on her back. She moved towards the bastions pushing her way around the ruins and searching bodies as she went. She managed to collect some useful ammo and food off of a few of the dead. She pushed the still smoldering ruins of a door open into one of the bastions and her eyes immediately fell on a wounded Kabal Warrior. He turned towards her his weapon raised as he yelled at her in the language of the dark ones "At least I take one more (please do not swear) with me." she dodged quickly to the side knocking aside his shot with her fan as she moved shouting back at him in the language, "Do not fire." his eyebrows raised as he coughed up blood and beckoned to her. As she came close still weary he muttered to her. Whatever he said must have effected her, because when the others arrived behind her they found a blood smear in the slight shape of a hand on her chest down to her stomach and she looked shaken. She moved dragging the bodies from the room and then began to work on a fire to keep them warm. The temperature was already dropping and she was growing cold.

"I'll set up traps and mines arround the area, that'll give us at least some protection" said Fenrir showing up of nowhere with captured coalition soldier from previous fight. "I'll also be first one on the watch, but in the meantime maybe I can catch some dinner"."Maybe this one has some intel on troop movements or some piece of information we could use", he dropped the trooper captured in his steel net and disapeared again.

Toran awoke with a start. As he started to sit up, he felt as if he was sliding just a second before he fell face first into the mud. Wiping his lens clear, he noticed that he was being watched by the cultists who he had shot at earlier. As a matter of fact, there was there were others with them. A Tau fire warrior and an eldar. Fear gripped him, and he rapidly began to try and crawl backwards, but ran into one of the piles of rubble around them. Eyes darting between each of the soldiers, he drew his combat knife and held it out in a defensive position, despite the fact that all of them carried weapons.

An'yra sighed and removed her helmet, kneeling down beside the trooper, obviously unafraid of the knife. "Hello human. I am An'yra, formerly of the Tau empire. You lost consciousness after a crash near our group. I'm sorry, your the only one left. Now... Tell me how you feel" An'yra pokes Toran in several spots, marking each with a white tab or a red tab. "Red tabs are broken, white tabs are good. Are you alright?" She asks, extending her hand,

At first, Toran recoiled as An'yra probed him. Once he realized that she was not hoing to hurt him, he let his guard down some. "I-I think I am ok," said Toran, the kindness of the tau catching him off guard. He took a hesitant look at the rest of the group before accepting her hand. Once he got to his feet, Toran still backed away from the rest of the group. 'Just because she is friendly does not mean that the others might not try to kill me, or even worse, attempt to do some heretical ritual,' thought Toran. After a minute, he scooted a little closer to An'yra, feeling safer near her than by himself. Toran reassured himself by giving himself the logic that since she helped him, she would certainly protect him in his weakened state

Vierna was by no means a welcoming figure. She looked at the trooper with the same calculating expression she used on everyone. She'd managed to start a fire and was roasting a stew over it in the time it took An'yra to look Toran over. She began to offer it out to everyone before disappearing into the cold to retrieve her duster. She returned shutting the door behind her and dropping down wrapped in several coats with the duster around her like a blanket. She moved over to Toran gruffly holding out a bowl to him and a ration bar. When he recoiled from her she spoke sharply, "I'm not going to kill you human. It is not my place to decide for you. It is cold and I am tired. Do not touch me and I will not kill you." she set the bowl down on the sand in front of him and retook her place at the fire.
She ate her food ravenously and then wolfed down 3 more ration bars. Finally full and wrapped up in a way that kept her warm she lay down hugging her stomach which was uncomfortable and began to try and sleep.

Lorenzo perched himself in a corner, looking out into the dark, half asleep, never truely letting his guard down. Eldar, as far as he knew, were a cruel race. Their's was the blood that coursed through his and Vierna, the bαstard children of human and eldar were from stolen wombs. The Minitor Sector's parents threatened that if they didn't behave that the eldar would take them to Commorragh - The Dark City. They were said to come on swarms of flying boats and snatch entire towns as prisoners. Creatures of the craftworld, however, are an all but lost legend - those figures can't have been them could they?
While contemplating, staring into the darkness he thought he thought he saw 3 of those mechanical creatures that attacked the coalition militants, their slender serpent like bodies topped insect like legs. They seemed to be reporting to a crowned, metalic skeleton. Lorenzo woke up more fully and tried to take a conscious look at them but the figures were gone. He was tired, he must have been seeing things.
He rose, realizing than the drop troop was awake. He was no longer out cold and it was no longer dishonourable to combat it. He stood up, slowly walking over to that Imperium scum, chain axe in hand and a low growl coming from his throat. His teeth were bared, the wolf-like fangs gleaming in the dark. Before he could get to the frightened looking figure he heard the sound of tank tracks. he got to the closest firing port and saw that the Coalition of the Free was were. This was more than a scouting group, they were taking this territory! Lorenzo looked back at Toran. "You're an enemy of our enemy for now. Put out the fire, keep silent, he will not be so reckless as to throw away out lives. Stay hidden"
Suddenly, fortune dawned on them as Glorious spacemarines descended from the heavens. Drop pods from the Golden Ram and the Ice Drakes chapters and Dreadclaws from the Cardinal Rage and Entropy's Salvation crashed into their ranks. "We should take this time to leave, GO!" Lorenso lead the team out of the complex. There was a very damaged chimera to the rear of the outpost, fortune graced them this day.
Bolter fire from the forces of chaos that supported the Union echoed into the early morning twilight, the sunrise drenched in the blood of the Coalition.

Vierna was startled from the light sleep she'd achieved by Lorenzo's shout. Despite this, she dragged herself to her feet charging out of the complex still wrapped in the many layers of clothing. The moment she was out into the cold air she began to shiver slightly as she followed Lorenzo.
She moved not feeling very well for it. Her run almost at times appeared like a very speedy waddle. Despite this, she kept going after Lorenzo her weapons at the ready as she waited for the danger that was certain to appear.
But it didn't as the Imperium appeared for the second time in her life she had to thank those imbeciles for the help. She managed to catch up to Lorenzo still heaving slightly her breathing heavy as she gripped her stomach, "Can we find cover or shelter. I'm exhausted."

Pest ran back into the room licking his fingers as he heard Wolfy shouting about getting out. His front was covered in what seemed to be sugar and odd bits of food, causing a avalanche of powder to drop to the floor as he wiped his face. "What did I miss?" He muttered excitedly as he strapped his gas mask back into place. Behind him the chopped off top of what looked like a bunk bed could be seen. Turns out he wasn't joking about wanting a top bunk after all.
It was at this point he noticed that the imperial trooper was awake and not waiting for the Tau grabbed his arm and dragged him to the door still doing up the last strap. "Don't worry I got 'im" He yelled over his shoulder before locking his arm around the troopers elbow and starting to skip off towards the transport. Being this close Toran could smell the sickly sweet scent of damn sugar and something else that reminded him of dried spices. He didn't get much of a chance to look at the crazed kid however as Pest seemed way too light to be possible and even though he was skipping (and now that Toran noticed it, humming) they seemed to eat up the ground in no time.
Just before they reached the vehicle Pest suddenly jerked to look at the imperialist. "What?" he said sounding a little self conscious noticing the trooper gazing at the sticky mess of sugar "I was hungry."
They reached the transport without incident and when they stopped Pest took the liberty to put the trooper on his feet and even brush the dirt off his uniform. He was about to turn away when he look back at the trooper "Oh and I nearly forgot! You dropped this." He seemed to pull Toran's rifle out of thin air and handed it to him. Pest could tell he was more then a little confused at what just happened but just waved a hand at the him before hopping onto the vehicles roof with a sigh of "Your welcome."

An'yra handed her portions of th rations over over to Toran. "Here. You need it more than me. You look starved." She watched as he voted closer to her, and began eating. She allowed herself a small smile. Perhaps this sense of gratitude, and perhaps even unprofessional friendship was what her Sister had seen in the Humans. Sitting down next to Toran, she looked at the readings she had green from her scans. He looked healthy enough. Tired, some heav bruising, but nothing major. Food and light medical treatment would do fine.
Next thing she knew, the sound of Lorenzo almost bounding at them filled her ears, and she rose to her feet to block his path. However, he heard something she didn't, and moved off. Then he said something about the Coalition being here, and An'yra put her helme back on in a hurry. As space marine pods started raining from on high, she was about to offe her hand o Toran, when Pest came in and took him off his feet, bounds off n tha strange way of his. Cursing in The Ta language, she grabbed her weapons and followed, her drone in pursuit.
As she leapt into the back f the Chimera, she tripped a bit and stumbled forwards, ending up closer to pest than to Toran. She stared at him through he helmet, before saying "Thanks fr getting him out of there. But next time? Tell me your moving my patient first."

"Your welcome! But where would be the fun in asking?" Pest asked cocking his head slightly at the Tau which coupled with his mask to give him a very bird like appearance. He could see no harm in the matter as at the time as he had done what he assumed was helping even if he had wanted to be alone with the Imperialist for a while. He seemed like an interesting one after all, talking about how grav thingyies where better than jet packs right after a fall. He might even have a sense of humor! What a stroke of luck that could be!
"Oh be quiet Yam." He said looking away for the Tau for a slit second before turning back like nothing had happened. "Anyways he's alive ain't he? Its more than what can be said for most Imperials when I meet them." He continued to stare at the fire warrior until she turned away at which time he called her back, saying "Oh and do me a favor will you! He seems to have dropped this." And as he said the last few words Pest threw Toran's rifle to the Tau, causing everyone that saw the exchange to look at the drop trooper who had just seconds ago been holding his rifle.
When they looked back to Pest he was happily muttering what sounded almost like a nursery rhyme until he notice the staring. Looking back down at them he cocked his head again looking confused "What is it this time?".

By the time Vierna reached the chimera and climbed into it she was covered in sweat and heaving for breathe. She collapsed onto the floor on her hands and knees gasping and completely missing the conversation between the others.
For several moments she remained like that before managing to pull herself up and gulp from a canteen at her belt. She drank for a long moment and wiped sweat from her forhead. She then shakily got to her feet and moved to the passenger seat to help Lorenzo start up the tank.
When she sat she grimaced touching her stomach before beginning to press buttons as the tank roared to life. "Weapons systems are severely damaged. The engine isn't looking great. Also it doesn't look like one of these hull doors is going to close." she turned shouting back to the others. "Grab onto something."

Lorenzo, knowing some controls of the Chimera drove forth to the nearest City he knew was under complete Koservitch control - Lefision. As they trundled away he saw no more slender phantoms watching them or mechanical beasts fade into existence, just the stillness of the young morn. After a few hours Lorenzo saw a sight that inspired him from his dreariness, more valiant spacemarines. Amongst them were 1st company veterans from the Golden Rams chapter and plague marines from the Entropy's Salvation warband. They were tending to vehicles, predators, razorbacks and rhinos. The 3 jewels was 2 defilers flanking a gleaming Landraider.
Loremnzo popped out the hatch of the top. "Great heroes, we hail from the Koservitch Union bound for Lefision!", he bowed his head in respect for the angels of death, "Can we serve in anyway?" A plague champion plodded forth. Through his armour leaked weeping wounds, haloed by a cloud of flies. His rusted, pitted chest plate from eroded by encrusted vomit and his entrails hung though his armour in a foul snare. He truely bore the 'gifts of Nergal' "Lefision?" He wheezed in a phloem ridden gurgle, "We are preparing to launch an armoured counter assault there now." "Counter assault?" Lorenzo's ears flattened in concern. "The Coalition had taken it with support of the Prodigal Sons and the Broken chain. You may accompany us, but do not hinder us."
The Chimera was repaired with Nurgle's rot and was able to keep up, trailing behind the armoured spear head. The spires of Lefision could be seen on the horizon but this convey of armour was severely outnumbered. No matter, the defilers and landraider leading it crashed into the ranks of Coalition siege surrounding the city, Fallen space marines and enslave rubrik marines among their ranks As the convoy made is insurrection into the opposition, vehicles exploding and marines charging out of the reckage without a blink, the Chimera was immobilised quickly and its crew disembarked. Although the coalition fighters were dying in droves, the valient space marines could not withstand this forever.
Suddenly, the seiging army's attention was divided again as the skies screamed with fliers. Drop troops and bombs decended upon the Coalition and cleansed them in bolter and flame. Sisters of Battle chanted their indoctrinated hymns dinned into them as the fabeled Grey Knights, Lorenzo believed to be a myth, destroyed angels (daemons) as if they were mortal. The Crusade had come.
ooc - please note that the space marines that are spoken about in a positive way both in my last post and in further on are renegade chapters and chaos space marines which worship Khorne and Nurgle (special cases include the Golden Rams Chapter who are very much involved in this sector). What Marines are aligned with whom can be found in the faction part of the OP

An'yra had out her helmet back on after their encounter with the space marines. She had no love for gods of any kind, and these corpulent plague marines reeked of decay and poison. She decided to help Toran out, as he was obviously least used to the presence of such beings. As she took blood samples to make sure he wasn't already infected, she made him a mask that would keep the worst of the plague away. She commandeered a full bench from the chimera to act as a medical table, leaving the others to so in the drivers seat, the gunnery turret or the co-pilot, or the 6 man bench on the other Side of the chimera.
During one paticularily painful bi of the testing, where she had to test his stomach hadn't been affected, she gave him a smile, from under the mask. "Sorry about allow this. I'm not a real medic, though I know enough. You aren't one of these people. You were coalition, technically your enemy's. Bu if you want to go back to them, you'll need to be tested for purity right? I'm trying o help you."
