The idea for this army came to me when my co-worker said I couldn't beat his Orks. I am a fairly new player to warhammer but not strategy. He is known to throw the Green Sea as well as a very mechanized ork army. I wanted a list that could deal with both a shooty heavy and numbers heavy. Also not just orks but all armies.
I decided I could roll for psyker powers on either biomancy (nomnom) for mech heavy and telepathy (control) for numbers heavy. The tervigons are excellent for swarms as well as increasing survivability of genestealers with catalyst. Also they are really good at munching open mechs with biomancy and claws (smash) and with the acid blood they should easily make up the points with that alone at 6 wounds. The Biovores are for whittling down long range shooters and the guard are for taking out heavies.
I am thinking to infil the genes and tie up key units while causing heavy casualties due to the high initiative, great WS, rerolls to wound against most infantry with toxin sacs as well as the psyker powers. This would give time to spawn multiple turns worth of termies safely while walking everything else up to bring to bear upon the remaining units. Of course whether I have them infil or flank will depend on the opponents list. (I admit I am unsure which would be better because giving the opponent time to pepper my tervigons while waiting for deepstrike sort of makes me cringe.)
Any advice would be appreciated.
