Hey all,
Thinking of starting my next project (after Nids), and was going to make it emperor's children. Every list I write is aimed to be competitive, so although I'm trying to keep it all Mark of Slaanesh, if there's something not MoS that you feel would fit this list perfectly then feel free to say. The proposed army is as follows:
HQ:
Chaos Lord
MoS, Sigil of Corruption, Power Fist, Lightning Claw, Chaos Bike, Gift of Mutation
Total - 175pts
Troops:
Noise Marines squad of 10
2 Blastmasters, 7 Sonic Blasters, Icon of Excess
Total - 291pts
Noise Marines squad of 5
4 Sonic Blasters, Doom Siren
Dedicated Transport: Rhino
Total - 157pts
Chaos Space Marines squad of 10
MoS, Icon of Excess, 2 meltaguns, Lightning Claw VOtLW, all bolters replaced with CCWs
Dedicated transport: Rhino
Total - 270pts
Fast Attack:
Chaos Bikers squad of 8
MoS, Icon of Excess, 2 meltaguns, Lightning Claw
Total - 256pts
Chaos Bikers squad of 5
MoS, Icon of Excess, 2 meltaguns, melta bombs
Total - 180pts
Heldrake
Baleflamer
Total - 170pts
Total for Army - 1499pts
The idea is the Lord goes with the squad of 8 bikes, and he other 5 bikes go tank hunting. The champion will take most challenges for the lord, but the lord has a fist and a claw, so that he can still fight a challenge at I6 and hopefully maim something big. The big unit of noise marines camp some cover with an objective at the back, hopefully tactically placed so that the sonic blasters will cover a lot of the battlefield. The unit of CSMs go and assault some squad they can manage the Heldrake causes carnage wherever it is most needed, and the small unit of Noise Marines go for units with weak armour, or if there are none, I can eigher play them safe, keeping them in the rhino, and move them in for an objective late game if I can, or alternatively, just send them towards a squad of MEQs and try my luck with the doom siren. Tbh I'm not so sure about the small squad of Noise Marines, there doesn't seem to be enough of them, but I really feel this army needs a 3rd troop choice. If anyone has better ideas for those 150pts or so, or indeed any part of the army, please tell.
