Vector Strike, Hammer of Wrath and Toxin sacs?

I was reading on the vector strike rule and it states that you make d3+1 hits, resolved at the model's unmodified strength and AP3. I think that since it is not technically a melee attack you would not get poison effects from it.

However, Hammer of Wrath IS a melee attack so I think you would get poison effects on it, just no AP...?

Yeah, no. Vector strike and Hammer of Wrath are rather limited and useless in a lot of cases. No biomorph bonuses and no Smash...

A Vector Strike isn't a close combat attack, so you don't benefit from any biomorphs.

The Main Rulebook FAQ says that HoW Attacks do not benefit from Poison, Rending, or any other special CC abilities.

Sadly Vector Strike is almost useless for us unless you are swooping over space marines.

Ah, but Vector Strikes were FAQ'd so enemy models could NOT take cover saves against wounds caused by it.

I use vector strike to kill marines seeing as most nid bio weaponry is bad ap and many players play marines.
Me thinks vector strike was to get rid of marines originally!!!
