62 walked back in with an annoyed looking Epi being dragged behind him just as the fight was breaking up. Before he could ask anything however Eliseai walked up to them and said her farewells. As she talked he stood staring at her. His mouth moved but no noise came out but if it was from shock or not knowing what to say was unapparent. Then she started to walk away from them and he had half a mind to go after her but a sudden pull to the Stalkers consciousness which made him hold back. He couldn't go with her. Not with his family to look after. They would bring too much attention to them.
So instead of following he gave a little wave to Eliseai's back a depressed look on his face. Epi watched her leave as well though he was more interested in the girl that was healing Sunny seemingly no effort at all. He made to reach out with his mind to delve her's but thought better of it. She might be more powerful than she looked and if he wasn't careful could end up killing him and Sixty. When Eliseai was gone Epi put and arm around the still waving 62 and pulled him in close.
"Don't worry we'll find her after. Still have to live up to my promise to help her remember." 62 gave him a sad smile before beckoning the Twin with Sunny over and proceeding to quickly inspect it before it could get away. Leaving 62 to it Epi turned to the rest of the group eyes resting on Sunny.
"Whats wrong there bud? It looks like you've seen a Ghost."

Elisea was broken from her exhausted state of sleep by the baby whimpering and the sound of a struggle. She opened her eyes and yawned lifting the baby up to comfort it. The man in question looked at her and she could tell he'd already screamed himself hoarse and was struggling against the restraints. "I wouldn't bother. Even if you did get out I could easily put you back there."
She strode from the room to find milk for the infant. She leaned against the counter feeding it and chewing on her own supply of food. The creature had soiled itself again in the night so she decided she might as well give it a bath. This proved more difficult than expected because the baby sobbed through the hole process. It wasn't until she climbed into the shower to clean herself that it stopped and just rested against her under the hot water. "See. It isn't so bad. It's one of those little pleasures." After juggling the baby between arms she managed to slip on the captain's uniform and get the baby wrapped in new clothes of his once again. She packed away several replacement uniforms in anticipation of the baby making a mess. She managed to get it to sleep and she placed it in the backpack and set it down to walk into the captain. He was still struggling. She moved forward"Make any noise above the norm and I break your neck. And then I'll be gone and you'll be dead." she pulled away his gag and he was quiet studying her. "You're one of those escaped freaks." "I'm Eliseai actually. And I suppose by your terms, yes, I am." "Where'd you get that baby? Is it yours?" "It is now." "That isn't an answer." "That's all you get." "where are your friends." "God only knows." She studied him and leaned against the wall. "Why'd you leave, it isn't like you have any place to go." She gave him an impassive stare. "Why bother running. It isn't that bad here." She snorted at this, "Yeah, that's really obvious. You people beat us, experiment painfully on us, and take away our humanity, you murder those of us who don't work out, and that's on a good day." she shook her head in disgust as his eyes widened. "They said you were volunteers. They said you were all chronic anyway and were hoping to contribute to the greater good." Her eyes widened at this. "You're kidding. How many people think that?" He looked like he was thinking. "Lots. That's what they tell the general public. I mean I thought so until you lot escaped, then I started wondering." She shrugged at him, "Well...then we have something in common, both of us have been used." "The world deserves to know." She looked at him, "Sure. But nobody would take us seriously." she held out food to him and he began to eat. "What are you going to do. A woman like you and a baby like that are going to be pretty noticeable." Her visage immediately shifted to match his. "I'm going to walk straight past them and I'm going to find a transport off of this place."
His eyes widened as she shifted back to her normal form. "That's amazing. You can look like anyone?" She nodded as he continued eating. "I can help you. I know this place." She studied him. "Why should I trust you?" He looked at her. "Because like you said we've both been used." She seemed to consider his offer. "What's your name?" "It's Gabriel." She nodded quietly leaning forward to untie him. "Keep in mind, I don't trust you. One wrong move and I could easily end you before I die." He nodded and stood up dusting his hands. She shifted to have a rather natural form and she lifted the backpack up. The baby was still asleep and she looked at it rubbing her thumb over its head. "Be quiet for me baby." He watched her as she looked at the baby with worry. "Well. Let's do this thing." They walked out his front door and she moved along beside him engaged in a banal conversation about herself which was somewhat based on reality. He played along as they moved. Eliseai made certain she could deal with him if worst came to worst.

Mateus sat looking at Sunny, a worried expression on his face. "What's wrong? Wo contacted you there? I could feel someone reaching out... Some sort of fake telepathy, like my abilitys... But made with a machine." He shuddered, before looking back at Sunny. "Was it Arachnae again? She seems to have paticular interest in you and Ellesai." He as back, examining Sunny, and with his telepathy e could sense Sunny's surface thoughts. Alot of tangled emotions there, but e refused to peer deeper without consent, Eris was looking at him too, an innocent smile on her face.

Sunny was a mess of emotions. He still felt hurt over how Eliseai treated him. Did she misunderstand him? Did he misunderstand her? Maybe he was wrong, but why? He wanted to escape, he didn't want to destroy the facility, but some of those in this facility are dangerous. Then again, he was very dangerous just to be around. Even worse, Eliseai was one of those test tube babies at one time. Oh, and he used his powers on her, how could he hurt her!? He wouldn't do that, that couldn't happened! And he needs to help her, what if Arachnae is telling the truth? He needs to get eliseai to her, but what if she's lying? He could be delivering them both into captivity again. She left them, she left him! NO he can't lose her, he has to find her and do the right thing by her - but what was that? If he's wrong and doesn't trust Arachnae than she could die and it would be caused by him - just by being around her. If he's wrong and trusts her than he just lied to her and got her locked up again. And why do they want Sunny's DNA? As her message to him ceased the activity in his implant followed suit, the lights flickering off. Than he heard another presence in his mind. It was also familiar, but it was more than just a relayed comms.
The sound of Mateus' voice brought him to consciousness where he saw the blurry outlines of Mateus and Eris. His eyesight and musculoskeleal system were being trashed by his powers as normal but he wasn't feeling lethargic or hungry for some reason, as if he regained his expended energy. He heard the outline others in the room quite sharply, Ghost being the exception of course. He looked ashamed before Mateus after what he did to Eliseai. He sat up with a wince and a glum look. He looked at him with tears just held back.
"Doctor Icarus," looking at him gave him flash backs of the counselling he got when he was younger, "I- I don't know what to do. I just don't know!"

Mateus sighed and put a hand ony Sunny's shoulder "I'm not Doctor Icarus anymore Sam. Mateus is who ai am now,. Call me Mat or Matty if you must, but I'm not the guy in the white coat. Anymore. But... I can still help you." He moved his hand to Sunny's temple, then both of them experienced a white flash, before the typical friendly looking mental room Mateus fashioned appeared around them. None of the others were here, only Mateus and Sunny. "So... Tell me what's wrong Sunny. Tell me everything."

Sunny showed him all of what he remembered of the conversation Arachnae, hesitant at first due to him considering what she had said. How confusing acting on this was. He almost went into a trance trying to recall the conversation word for word for him. The bitter, acrid vitriolic poison of the loathing he felt for that woman as memories of her voice came o pass, she hurt El.... ...he hurt El... He tried to hide his swirling tempest of conflicting thoughts and emotions about Eliseai, but such a wanting was so strong that it was fools attempt to veil it. He also felt remnants of the past guilt of the destruction of the North Atlatic Facillity which Sunny had almost gotten over ran almost a subtle background in his mind. Sunny panicked and retreated to a safer place in his mind, dragging Mateus with him
Mateus, startled. found himself sitting on a park bench near 85th street in Central Park overlooking the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir , New York - his favourite memory. He watched across where under a tree two boys sat panting, refugees from the Summer sun's wrath. He then found Sunny sitting next to him also watching the two boys - Samuel and Oscar Authurs - he was almost lost in this memory, it was his last, sweet aftertaste of freedom afterall. "Could she be telling the truth doct- ...Matt? Could she have really gotten the cancer my mum got from me?" Before Mateus could answer Sunny abruptly whispered "This is the most frustrating part." A broad man with, 4 feet wide at the shoulders, almost 8 feet tall, wearing a trench coat, fedora and sunglasses in heavy contrast to the light summer clothing of the leasuring New Yokers around him. He called out to the boys by name - the day they were taken for the experiments. Sunny looked back to Mateus as the twins they were watching over naively and punctually walked over to the man. "If Arachnae's right, or telling the truth even, El's dead. The puzzling part is why is my DNA a fair trade?" Sunny looked right away as the boys were snatched by the giant.

As Sunny and Mateus went into their own private conversation Epi kept a metal probe trained on them though he could only hear what they where "saying". Anything else would have been too distracting as he was after all still keeping up a twilight for the children while at the same time keeping his physical form. It would have be so easy to simply dissipate and take residence in 62's mind for a while but Epi knew Sixty liked the physical over the mental. After all what would life be without substance?
Making an effort not to look at Ghost Epi turned his attention to the only other person in the room. The same person 62 was now smiling gently at. Slowly Sixty started to walk forward to the little girl and crouched down before her so that their eyes where level. He looked slightly nervous that coupled with his now much younger and well... human face to give him the appearance of kid approaching another.
"Your..." 62 started but was lost for words. After a mental poke from Epi he decided to skate over his lack of knowledge. "Your... His daughter?" It was more of a statement than a question but he seemed to want to confirm it. "I have a few children as well..." Epi gave a chuckle but 62 ignored him.
"Would you like to meet one?"

If she was expecting any kind of reply from the parting Ghost, she didn't get one, as he stood facing away from her, hearing the staccato footsteps as she left. When she was out of earshot, the masked man let out a sigh.
She'd saved his life, and his feeling o that were strange to say the least. Part of him was indifferent to the act, as though it was useless, some conscious effort to put it him on a moral chain.
Although the other part was the more base Ghost, the human part, to which instinct told it was good to be alive. And so he felt guilt, yet he knew she'd made the decision to leave, through some build up of some emotion or other.
He turned to face the others, noticing Sunny and Mateus's little therapy session, and 62's interactions with Erin. He didn't know what told them this was a good time for bonding, they were after all, being pursued.
Ghost stepped meekly over to 62, and Epi, who looked over his shoulder. He seemed to interrupt the chat with Erin, his face suggesting more important things at hand, although, a straight glare for Epi discouraged him.
In an attempt to dismiss such hostility, he addressed 62.
"You liked her, didn't you sixty," he said, a hint of sympathy in his voice.
"I can see why, but you must know this, she won't and can't get out alone, and she will die trying unless we're to... assist her when she falls, understand."
After a brief pause he continued. "This whole facility will be on lock down, there will be no transit between us and the world, even if ordered, and when she tries, they'll discover her and kill her, that or Arachne will get her hands on her genome." He considered the palatability of each option settling on the latter after some thought.
"That's why we have to go, not following her, but to guard her," he finished abruptly, and motioned to Mateus, to go before beginning to walk, looking for some kind of map, assuming the journey would simply play itself out.

The more Eliseai and Gabriel had moved forward, the more it had become apparent that much of Ghost's words rang true. Eliseai was in a lot of ways not a creation meant to survive in the wild. As they strode past check points she could only smile and wave or shake hands as Gabriel introduced her as the new girl on the station.
He informed several people as they went that they'd be headed down to the barracks where the new troops were being trained to get her situated. Nobody seemed to question this. It all seemed so easy until the baby began to rustle about. She jerked him into a side hallway pulling the backpack down from her back as she did. She pulled his face against her neck, "Look like you are preoccupied with me." she whispered as she slowly unzipped the bag using him as a shield against the world. The child had woken and she grimaced at it. "Baby. Now isn't a good time." she managed to whisper as another guard passed shaking his head.
With some effort she managed to change the creature and coax it back to sleep all the while doing her best to convincingly seem like she was busy with Gabriel. Finally, they were back to moving. They managed to reach the barracks and he motioned towards the office he kept here. "This will be a good place to hole up until night falls." she nodded at him taking a seat and removing the infant to feed and play with. "I have to go to drill the soldiers. If I don't show they'll be surprised." she glared at him. "Why should I trust you?"
He rubbed a hand through his hair. "Because I could have turned you in when you had the baby in your hands and I didn't? " she shook her head. "Not good enough." he sighed. "Look, you need me. So you might as well try and trust me." she harumphed as he left the room.
"What do you think of him baby?" the infant gurgled at this. "Yeah. I think he's not trustworthy too." she replaced the infant into the backpack and slipped from the office, she began to follow the signs which pointed towards the grounds. If she could just get under blue sky maybe she could just shift and fly out.

Post by Tyamius, Shadow Lord on May 20, 2013 21:54:40 GMT
Around Mateus and the others a loud rumbling could be heard and the crunching of metal. Moments later a black mass came flying through the wall, shadows chasing it. A loud grumbling could be heard on the other side of the wall as a giant clawed arm reached through trying to break its own path. Tyamius stood, his left arm hung limply, his right arm was a blade, and his features were that of something more evil than the likes of what the group had seen. He smiled at the sight of the group, he had hung back before the door that opened the genesis receptors. He had been dropped back, moments after the group had departed, into a deep pit against the beast he now fought. It had grown in size when the last the genesis door and his own features had twisted a bit as his powers swelled and the shadows stopped talking to him. "They killed him! Now I'll kill them all..." was all he said as he lunged at the wall twisting the shadows around his body as he drilled into the arm of the beast.

Mateus Sighed. "I think Arachnae is a lying, sneaking cow of a woman, and nothing she said can be taken at face value. Even if she is telling you the truth here, which i doubt, then Elesai is still saveable. Eris... she's already shown she can bring people back from the brink of death. Even if that didnt cure this cancer, Im pretty sure that We can Cure her, keep her alive until we can cure her through other means." He gave Sunny a smile. "It'll work out. Don't worry. Whatever Ghost says, we will see this through. And we'll make a home in the real world."
Eris looked up at 62. "Yep! Daddy dissapeared for a while, and I got taken away, but we're back together now!" She smiled up at him, before nodding. "I'd love to meet one of your Kids! How old are they?" She asked, whilst patting down her slightly dusty dress.

Sunny's memory began to fragment a bit as he held back another emotional breakdown. Mateus found himself in a very different memory now. It was complete, visual absence - only a mess of confusing sounds and smells and emotions of fear, loneliness (the reason why he so readily seeks relations) and trepidation - the memories he had of recently undergoing the procedures that eventually blinded him but before his hearing compensated for his sight. It was from this period of time is where he remembered Icarus' voice from and where the psychological damage which are the cause of his current, irrational mood swings originated from - this memory was when he was about 12 years old.
Mateus felt the position of one of the children he had charge over, almost a wave of hyper-empathy. From the confusing mess of a blinded memory Mateus heard Sunny's directionless voice, "But she said it killed my mother, they weren't able to save her, how can they save El?"

62 smiled down at the girl as she accepted his request at the same time he reached behind his back to poke at the quivering mass that was curled up under his overalls on his shoulder. "He's younger than you. But he has all my memories so Epi thinks that makes him as old as me." He gave the lump a push which caused it to move a little upwards but otherwise it stayed where it was making 62 frown a little. "He's usually pretty friendly. I don't know why he's being so shy..."
With a rather hard prob and a mental push the head of the Twin poked itself over 62's collar to look at the girl, twitching slightly in excitement. "Ah there you go. See I told you she wasn't scary." Reaching up 62 gently scooped the child out of his clothing and set it in front of Eris. Watching 62 smile slightly as the Twin approached the girl hesitantly. It wasn't often he got to see his children interact with. Well other children. And funnily enough it gave him a strange sense of hope.
The entire time Epi had been standing back watching the exchange with a blank face. One of the things 62 had never come to understand was that not everyone found his children beautiful as he did. Couple that with the fact he didn't get to open up to others often rejection could be crippling but it wasn't like Epi could jump in and stop him. It would probably even more. So he watch.
When Ghost spoke up Epi shot him a nasty look but before he could say anything 62 turned to the colorless man, a oddly confused look on his face. "I liked her. Yes... But you make it sound like she's already gone. She's stronger than you think you know..." He said it quietly before turning away not bothering to expand which made Epi grin. Yup in some ways Sixty had never changed,
He didn't get long to admire the sight however as a dull rumbling sounded. Turning to look at the wall confused Epi was about to take a step back but it was already too late. The arm hit him full in the chest and in the usual bright flash he vanished though to Ghost there was still a being made of pure white standing in the other realm. Shocked but seemingly not phased by his partners sudden destruction 62 took a second to gather himself before telling the Twin to take the girl somewhere safe. This didn't look life a very pleasant situation...

Eliseai moved through the facility uncertain of her direction. At least she was finally under the rich blue sky again. It had taken almost an hour, but she'd finally reached the landing pad she and Sunny had been taken in on. There were soldiers and pilots milling about working on the vechicles. She strode slowly towards one and at that moment the place errupted in flashing sirens and shouts. She turned to see many guards streaming towards her and behind them she could see the always cold and cruel Dr. Archnae in her white lab coat holding several files.
The guards moved forward setting up in a firing pattern as Eliseai stood frozen with indecision. She pulled the baby from her backpack and tossed the bag away clutching the now screeching creature to her chest. Dr. Archanae strode forward between the guards still holding the files.
"Well. Hello there Eliseai. I was worried we might not find you before you went and did something stupid." the womans eyes lingered on the creature in her arms. "I see you reached some of the lower levels. Now what are you planning to do with him." Eliseai stood trying to make a decision. "I'm leaving. And I'm taking this...my baby with me."
Archanae laughed. "I don't think so. You can either come quietly, or I can let my guards open fire on you until you aren't in a state to disagree. It is of course your choice. But I would say that baby is unlikely to take the stun blasts as well as you. It would be a shame if he was to die."
Eliseai wasn't really listening anymore, she was trying to figure out how much time it would take to reach Archanae and tear her face off before the stun shots put her down. She searched the faces of the soldiers looking for Gabriel. There were only 20 or so with Archanae. She must not have thought it would take more than that. Eliseai grinned as she moved forward still holding the baby.
"Alright, Doctor." The guards moved to surround her and at that moment she shifted into the largest cat form she'd ever assumed. It took all her concentration to maintain it as she created the furrow in her belly and held the baby screaming there. In the same instant she swiped outwards with her paw crushing several of the guards as they began to open fire and Archanae turned retreating although even she took a moment to appreciate the majesty of her only successful creation biting a man in half. More guards moved to attack Eliseai, having finally arrived. The shots stung as they hit her massive frame but she was too pre-occupied with trying to reach the Doctor.
Right as she was about to take a swipe at her a blast hit her full in the face knocking her backwards into one of the copters hard. She shook her head shifting back and holding the baby which was shaken and screaming from the noise. The smoke managed to clear and Eliseai looked up at an all too familiar face leaning over her.
"I'm sorry, Elise. But it is time to come home." Oscar towered over her his hand already beginning to heat up with the threat of intense pain and radiation. Only this time, the blast wasn't pointed at her, it was pointed at the small baby in her arms. Her foot slid outwards quickly knocking him from his feet she let go of the child and snarled moving forward to kick him again. The blast of radiation hit her in the chest burning painfully. "You still need that (please do not swear) to beat me huh." she challenged angrily. That had his attention and in a second he'd stood up and punched her in the face. The two circled around each other trading blows. The last thing Eliseai could remember before she'd hit the ground and failed to get up was Oscar pulling back her hair and hitting her in the face repeatedly. Even as her vision flickered towards darkness she could see Archanae approaching the bawling baby on the ground and lifting it with a grin.

Ghost retorted in an unsophisticated manner, "fine, just be careful, we will always lose alone."
It was that moment the creature burst through the wall, masonry flying in every direction, one clump striking Ghost on the back of head.
He fell as if he was thrown to the ground, his face colliding with the floor sounding one clean crack.
He'd lost conscious on the first collision but immediately regained it on the second. He got back to his feet, a line of blood flowing from his nose, down his chin. He didn't yet feel the pain of his bloody nose, so caught up with the adrenalin of the moment. The beast saw him flicker out of sight as he stormed at the beast, approaching its blazing red soul which sat in its rib cage like a star in supernova.
He lunged for it, gripping it on his chest, the force of his dive opening another rift. Light from without streamed inwards as the beasts physical form found itself pulled inward, it's bone turning to black sand and drifting off into the dimensions distance.
Ghost relinquished his grip, reappearing and crashing into a pile of rubble. Pushing the dust off his dulled hair, he got to his feet, looking desperately to beast, now trying to regain its stance and then to others.
He hadn't done enough damage, the beast far beyond him.
"We can't fight this and-- live" he yelled, stumbling mid sentence as he noticed the blood dripping from his nose. Without so much as a second word, he bolted for the door, sprinting down the corridor behind.
The beast would recover, and putting distance between them and it would be the only measure worth taking.
