The monster gave a snarl as Ellesai delivered the blow, then began to collapse. It's red eyes had changed, going to a sort of dull pink colour. Noticing for the first time where it was standing, it's eyes widened, before it sort of... Fell apart, into peices of fur and flesh, and died. A strange hexagonal shape lit upon the floor of the main room- some kind of ritual circle, before fading away. It had been fortunate for the monster the ole sunny made hadn't damaged the circle, but once Ellesai had removed it from that circle, it was dead as dead could be.
Mateus looked between Ellesai's fallen form and the two very surprised looking guards, carding the cell door beyond- the same guards he had seen already. With a roar of anger, he blasted the wave of unless they fired into the air, and ran forward, snapping ones neck with a spin of his tail. The other raised his gun, and fired a stay of bullets at Mateus.

Epi was already gone by the time Ghost started pleading but 62 had just pushed his way in behind the group. He gave Eliseai one look before dropping down next to her and starting to apply pressure to her stomach drenching his arms in blood but he didn't seem to care. He for the most part ignored Ghost as he stared at the injury biting his lip.
"I can't do what I did to you. Too much internal damage." He said quietly not taking his eyes off Eliseai's prone form. "She needs Epi. He could fix her. I can't do anything." A thin film of tears covered his eyes as he looked at the dying body of the first person since their escape that had seen him as more than a monster or a tool. Then suddenly he blinked face going blank. "Though... She could copy my abilities and just regrow the damage her self... But she would need to do it herself. I can help but otherwise..."

Sunny got up with a whince, everything was aching and he was nausious from the concussion but nothing seemed to be broken, Epi helping him up. The cerebrate clambered off him, Sunny had broken his fall the whole way and seemed to be in better than expected condition. Sunny renoticed the babies in their amniotic tubes around him, hearing them in detail and floated in their liquid and their hearts beating exactly in time as every other. He shone a bright burst to light the room to see what they were. It made him feel uneasy as he limped over to one of the tubes. The babies seemed part mechanical, their skin as white and almost translucent as the super soldiers they fought earlier. He looked around and realized there were hundreds of them. "But one of those things is an army in of itself, they have a thousand growing!"
Then he noticed a silence, a loneliness... Where were Eliseai's thoughts? WHAT HAPPENED TO HER!?. He limped up to the hole he made through the floors and looked up, a desperate look on his face and a dangerous green pulse to his aura. the metal floor beneath him began to buckle and glow red hot and he aligned the polarity. At the last second, he grabbed onto Epi's writ with one hand and the cerebate with the other - repelled his magnetic field and shot up through the trail of destruction. Tears now coming to his eyes as he shot through the whole he created, dropping off his passengers. with a thud. He ran over to Eliseai and kneeling by her side, snarling, "What happened to her!?"

The world felt like it had stopped to Eliseai seconds before the blade slid through her stomach. She hadn't really thought about it, the idea that other life should be protected had been so coded into her every fiber that even as she watched the trajectory of the blade and knew that Ghost hadn't seen it she'd just done the right thing. The thing her body told her to.
Even after the blade had slid straight through her she hadn't really felt anything but a frozen feeling. She hadn't pushed the beast back out of pain, but fear that it would harm the others or endanger Sunny further. Maybe the adrenline and pain she couldn't feel had fueled it, unfortunetly she'd never think about it, all that would be lost in the black muddle that followed.
Her vision blurred as she'd lost the giant feline form. She could only barely see the wolf creature monster falling apart. Before anyone reached her she'd tried to stand and shout in truimph. That was when she'd collapsed. Even as her vision faded and pain finally washed over her she managed to laugh, a sound that came out like a strangled gasp. She's barely managed to curl in pain before it had all faded into voices her keen ears could pick up.
She could barely hear Ghost running towards her shouting. Even that made her smile stupidly as he turned her over. Even in her painless shock induced state she managed to mutter around the blood flowing from her mouth "see you found it. I knew it." Her movements were spastic as she tried to reach for him only to begin twitching subtly as 62 reached her.
Blood had begun to pool by the time 62 reached her and tried to stem the blood flow her eyes were beginning to lose their normal luster which seemed to include losing colors from the rainbow. At this point half the spectrum was gone and still she seemed to be fading.
When Sunny reached her she seemed to regain a small measure of life because her head twisted around chaotically until she was looking at him. By then her eyes only included green, blue, and purple. "Sam." Her hand reached out towards him touching his chest smearing it with blood. "Sam you're getting angry." she laughed in a way that would have been fine if it weren't for the blood that trickled down from her lips mixed with vomit. "Sam. you know what happens when you get angry."
Then the shots fired at Mateus and her attention turned towards that as she pathetically tried to move towards the shots. "We have to help Mateus." her eyes had sunk to only having purple and green in them when they managed to push her back to being still. "Sam. I don't want to go" her voice was slowly fading and she seemed to have trouble concentrating on the next word but all could see the animal panic entering her eyes.

Mateus blocked those bullets at the last second, and grabbed the guard by the neck, lifting him airborne. "You.... You (please do not swear)!!" He screamed, befre a blast of telekenisis decapitated the guard in a shower of blood. Turning, Mateus walked back over to the Wolf creatures corpse... Or what was left of it. Studying it for a moment, he nodded, and picked up one of the guards combat knives. Walking back to Ellesai, he looked at her, a sorrowful look in his eyes, and a guilty one. "I can save you. But it's going to hurt. It's really going to hurt." Kneeling down, he drew the knife, and whispered to Ellesai and Sunny alone. "Do you want me to? Or are you content?"

Sunny was distraught to say the least. Those around him could feel the heat coming off him, probably not beneficial to be around for too long for long term health either. His glow was still pulsing green with tears streaming down his eyes but smiling to try and keep Eliseai in good spirits. "You're gonna be okay El, we're getting you through this come how." Mateus came over. He offered to help but sunny looked defensive when he drew a knife. He backed down, deciding to trust the doctor again. He gave a confident nod, "What ever it takes."

Mateus nodded. Slowly, he began to trace something into Elesai's skin- the blade wasn't in top condition, so the cuts had to be made slowly, lest it be messed up. It was incredibly painful, but Mateus keep Ellesai pinned to the floor with his telekenisis. Slowly but surely, the symbol from before began to form, the run like in the floor of the room. As he made that last cut, the floor flashed light again, and Ellesai began to pull herself together- literally. For Ellesai, the pain was excruciating, yet she just couldn't black out, the magic of the circle seemed to keep her from dong that. Mateus stepped back, a hurt look on his face. " know it hurts Ellesai... But hold on. Please."

Eliseai couldn't have responded to Mateus' question if she wanted to go on. It would remain a great mystery what her answer would have been because as he asked she'd begun to sieze up in some of the final throws of a truly horrific and pained death. Blood had no longer seemed to be flowing from her wounds and her eyes had cleared to having no iris to speak of and her skin had become like a white, sheet of paper.
It was lucky that he did not wait for her response as he carved the symbol onto her. She shook and writhed as he did her lungs to clogged with blood to allow her the release of screaming. As the magic of whatever Mateus had done began to assert itself her blood seemed to reflow back into her and her eyes began to explode with color. She herself began to writhe around even more chaotically and scream with unblocked lungs in a way that would have made even greater men than those that surrounded her weep. The light sprang up from the floor consuming her form which was just as well because had they seen the look on her face they might have felt the urge to put her out of the agony the spell wrought on her. Only the sound of her horse attempts to screech informed them that she was still a part of their plane. The light stretched out climbing over those that had her blood on their hands and stealing it away back into the light.
When the light finally faded she lay on the ground no blood around her to tell that she'd ever been hurt. Her skin had returned to its natural hue and all the blood that had been on them was disappeared as if it had never been. Her eyes were closed and for a moment it seemed as if the spell had done nothing but clean the gore up. Then with a subtle movement Eliseai simply breathed in normally and her eyes opened one at a time renewed to their rainbow color. Slowly she turned to look at each person. Her mouth opened only to close again as it made no sound. Her hand weakly rose up to sign so Mateus could see. "I'm alive. I cannot believe what I have seen." It was then that Mateus noticed the implant that had been over her eye was gone, disappeared into thin air, and Sunny could not hear her mind anymore.
Her eyes slowly closed as she reached out to take hold of Ghost and 62's hands. She seemed to be too weak for anything else except to smile at Mateus from Sunny's arms and rest.

Sunny looked on in concern, not noticing that he no longer felt her pain or that any activity in his own implant had ceased. He every no and again glared at Mateus as if to warn him that he bette have not betrayed his trust. When she finally stopped glowing, Sunny gave her a passionate kiss, "Don't you ever do that again El!" He looked over at Mateus, almost apologetically, "Th-thank you. I-I don't know what else to say. What ever you did, thank you." He held hey up to his chest and sueezed her for what semed like an eternity.
Eliseai still in his embrace, he looked at Mateus over her shoulder. Remembering what he saw just floors down he mouthed, 'I need to tell you something.' He laid Eliseai down, "Rest here for a bit, I'll be right back." Still sore and injured from his fall, blood trickling from his hair line and left arm dangling at an odd angle, he limped over to Mateus, head held low as if looking for approval from a girlfriend's father. "Doc," He looked at the he he recklessly made earlier, "you know those super soldiers? the big roided up blokes? There're baby ones, thousands of them."

Mateus smiled with relief and slumped backwards into a cross-legged position. "Oh thank goodness it worked.... I... " Seemng to loose all ability to speak, he just smiled- or was it a happy grimace- at Sunny. Listening to what Sunny said about the baby soldiers, Mateus switched to a thoughtful look. "I remember nothing of that. What are these idiots thinking?" He stood up again and walked to the hole, peering over, before walking away from it. "What shall we do I wonder?"
Suddenly, his head snapped up and looked at the double doors the creature had been guarding. Sprinting over, he began tapping at the holo-screen besides the door. "Eris... Project 0? First Sucessful attempt at EVE project?" He looked at the doors. "They actually did it?" Looking back at the doors, he pressed a few more buttons, and the doors slowly opened. Inside, a Small girl sat, dressed in a white gown. The cell was different, more comfort afforded- but it was still a Cell. The girl looked up at the whole group as the OoTS opened. She looked about 8 years old, with waist length back hair, and startlingly Familiar Hawk Yellow eyes.

As she screamed, Ghost could only hold his hands over his ears and watch. It was awful, truly awful, that death howl shook through his spine like a tremor. After barely seconds, he could bare it no longer and in some attempt to replace this screech with the serene rush of his own world.
It was in vain, for in the darkness the sound was amplified, as if emanating from his own skull. Her soul now burned a deep black, throwing shadow out in every direction. The whole landscape seem to curl and blur at her presence. The tremors were real here, he could feel the ground ripple, the walls shake as she screamed. The whole world looked to collapse, but then she stopped. Ghost fell gratefully back into the real world, still visibly shaken by what she'd caused, what he felt.
He wobbles to his feet, making an attempt to help her up, although his own les felt weak at this point.
Then she got a look from Ghost, and it wasn't the deep gratitude shed expected. Rather, it was regretful, sorrowful, asking why but at the same time dismissing any answer as invalid.
And that was all he gave her , backing off, holding a hand to his forehead. His face suggested he'd killed someone close, so preoccupied in his own thoughts that he paid no attention to the new girl, he'd changed, his brain had shifted a few gears, now he was growing accustomed to its new motions.

When he moved to help her up Eliseai's eyes slowly opened and with a grimace she let him help her up. He was staring at her, and somehow she knew he wanted to understand what she'd done, but had so long ago given up on her being a person that no explanation could be given. Despite this she stepped back her hands raising so he could see them as she motioned in the complicated language of signs "Because it is my nature to protect those I love. Too high a price is not a term that applies to family." Then he backed off way from her holding his head and she didn't bother to stop him. She just turned slowly and stalked off towards the hole in the ground.
She made certain she could shift before she jumped into the hole. Her abilities seemed perfectly intact and she was soon flitting easily down to the test tubes in the form of a beautiful hawk-like creature. She landed on the ground easily shifting back to her normal form. She stared at the tanks. They were filled with lives, but it was likely they were no more human than an animal. They had probably been chemically engineered to be just like that creature that had almost killed her.
She approached one of the tanks looking at it to see if there was any sign these children could be allowed to live. Something in her wanted to believe the could. Her hand reached up touching the surface of the glass and morphing to fit the same hue of the babies skin. She'd even morphed their hand implants onto her adult hand giving a vision of what it would look like fully grown. "Are you a real person too?" she managed to rasp out at the baby." Her hand pressed more firmly against the tank as if she was searching for the answers to something far deeper. "Even if you are...they won't let you be. Is it really mercy to let you try to have life." her head sank downwards and she pulled her hand away from the tank walking along each one and touching it just for a moment before continuing on until she turned a corridor to a new set of tanks. These were different somehow, she could tell that much. There were not many of them, only about 10. Her face had contorted in horror long before she reached the first tank.
She looked in at varying stages of human life. The one she stood nearest to was little more than an infant with more wires hooked into it feeding chemicals to keep it going than any baby should have. She walked along her face unchanging as she saw a toddler, a small child, a child, a older child, an adolescent, a teenager, young adult, adult, and middle aged adult. Yet it was not this progression of human life span that caused the horror on her face, it was the iradescent skin of almost sparkling, milk hue, it was the lifeless rainbow eyes that stared back at her. The implants over the left eye that had previously matched her own, and the hair of impossible rainbow colors floating in the liquid that caused Eliseai to gape in true horror.
Her hands wanted to tear the tanks apart, she wanted to scream that she was the only one, the only one special enough to survive it all, but her eyes were telling her they'd finally figured it out. Her eyes were making it clear, where once she'd been special, she was now only the first in a long line of Eliseais She could see the electrical circuits that were running the electricity into them that she remembered as helping the shape-shifiting to take place. She saw the dial and her hand shook over it with the desire to fry them and never tell the world that she, Eliseai, was not as special as she'd always been told.
Her hand touched the dial and then it suddenly hit her, Dr. Archanae had still wanted her back. How could that be if they had a recipe all ready to go. She moved towards the oldest Eliseai and turned the dial up to what would constitute a very painful shock. She watched as the subject in front of her did not shift at all. She knew from her own experience that would have forced a shape change. She actually jumped up and down with glee. "They haven't managed to clone my shape-changing. I'm still Eliseai." But even this thought, returned her to the dilemma of letting all these test tubes live.

62 smiled sadly as Eliseai grabbed his hand and started to close her eyes. He stayed their for several minutes allowing her to rest knowing he was there but eventually he slid his hand from hers and stood up looking down at his gore mattered fingers. He could simply absorb the lot and be better off for it but for some reason it didn't feel right. Almost like cannibalism. He rubbed the gore between his finger and palm almost transfixed by it though his face was devoid of emotion. Some might see it as repulsive or sickening but to him it was the life blood that kept every living thing going.
"Sixty..." Epi's voice rang out like a parent reminding a child of something. He had for the last few minutes been standing silent and watching, though he paid no heed to the Doctors ritual. Instead he had stared at 62 covered in blood, tears in his eyes and clutching the dying body of a person he cared about. It was everything Epi had been trying to stop by bringing them back together but still he failed.
At the sound of his voice 62 looked up a little startled before grinning guiltily and was about to wipe the blood on his overalls when Epi stopped him. "Come on let me do it. No point getting them dirty." He held out his hands to 62 as he said it, his usual lop sided grin present. With a chuckle 62 took both his hands in his own and looked Epi in the face.
"Hold your breath." He warned before with a slight puff the blood turned to dust and fell to the floor. Once that was done Epi pulled 62 back into a hug looking at the now opening doors behind him. "I thought you where staying with the children?"
"They needed me here. Are you angry?" Epi gave him squeeze as a response. He saw Sunny glance at them but did nothing but shoot him a challenging look.
"When am I mad? Ar the kids OK?" 62 gave a nod before pulling away to look at the girl as well. He could feel Epi's anxiety about her and couldn't help but share it but she was just a girl after all. Then with another small smile 62 moved to stand next to Sunny to make sure the Cerebrate was alright. Epi on the other hand remained where he was. It looked on the surface like he was just standing still but in truth he was running probes over the surface of the girls mind while at the same time sending physic "breaths" at her to see how she would react.
He agreed that she might look no older than a child but then again he just fell six stories and landed head first but still walked out without a scratch, so she would have to pardon him if he though that appearances meant little.

Epi could sense some phenomenal psychic power on the girl, stronger than Mateus', probably even stronger than his. Also, she appeared to be in peak physical health, but her mind was radiating an almost overpowering Aura of Sadness. This aura was receding however, as she looked at the group.
Mateus stared a the child with his eyes in silence. There was something about her that was s familiar, he knew who she was. The girl who and contacted him, but he knew her more personally than that. He knew the child's name, her real name, not just Eris. Eris was chaos. Like the Chaos in his head. Who was this child? He took a step towards her and kelt down. Looking at her in the eyes, she seemed to think for a moemnt,n trying to think who he was too. Then she smiled, her eyes lighting up,a nod said "Daddy!"
Mateus's mind snapped back into place, the mental blocks on his suppressed memory's breaking. He remember everything- right up until his transformation, e remembered Epi, seeing the subject before he was changed. E remembered this child, HIS child. Erin Iccarus. He remembered Arachnae taking her away, and fighting with Romulus to get her back. He remembered the super soldiers, how he had found them, and how Romulus had taken him to the table to keep him quiet. "Oh god... Erin... Oh Erin!" He said, tears filling his eyes as he hugged the child, everything.hing else gone. She was all that mattered at the moment. "Daddy's missed you so much Erin... I've missed you so much..."

Sunny tilted his head in confusion as Mateus headed his way over to the the doors behind where the creature once laid. Sunny returned to Eliseai, as she lept down the hole that he left. He assumed that she was to survey his discovery. Sunny returned down to the storage site, she was observing a particular alcove within which was marked 'Replication attempt 1337'. He looks little note of it. Sunny moved onto the next rom where about 20 fully grown super soldiers had developed. These ones where the ones with the enlarged heads and the cysts on their hands that fire lasers. He looked at the panel, straining to focus.
He recognized 48 - that was Mateus. Probably the reasons why they seemed to have a slighty swollen forehead and how they communicate with those masks on. He also noticed Direction:645...
....645..
..."That was Jaq" he whispered to himself, he thought he recognised those biological lasers. It seemed surreal that she lived on in those monstrosities. They just combine what they can from the best of each experiment. He then heard exclamation from Eliseai and Sunny ran to her side. He grabbed her by the shoulders asking, "What's wrong El?" as the shine to his blue eyes began to matte*. He looked up at the tank and said, not noticing how far into his mouth his foot was, "Hey, this one looks a bit like you!"
*Sunny had noticed something only a few minutes after his implant shut down, linked to Eliseais that now no longer was. He felt a familiar pain in his eyes and joints, and a huger and lethargy that he almost missed - without Eliseai's biological processes linked into his own she probably had lost his resistance and isotopes and he would no longer have the endurance he once had. More importantly, he knew his vision had become a little worse. Sunny didn't morn the inevitable fact, he simply appreciated that he saw again for if history was any guide, his powers would have destroyed his sight within 48 hours. He was thankful that his hearing was as retained and as sharp as ever as his retinas began to deteriorate, the cataract in his lenses cloud and his corneas dystrophy....
....this was not to say that he wanted to be blind again.
