Insane 500 pt. Blood Angels list

So, yeah.. I'll admit that this list is about as mad and ridiculous as it comes.. but here we go!

==HQ==

100 - Librarian: Power Armor, Blood Lance, Shield of Sanguinius, power weapon and bolt pistol

==Troops==

125 - Death Company Dreadnought
75 - 4 Scouts, 1 Veteran Sergeant: all sniper rifles

==Heavy Support==

200 - Blood Angel Stormraven: Twin Linked Assault Cannon, Twin Linked Multi-Melta

Total: 500

That's right, the entire army can fit inside the stormraven. This army can arrive via deepstrike or swooping from reserves. You can fly this bad boy right over objectives and have your units jump out to land and claim them. Hammer their armor with the assault cannon and multi-melta then shred their units while claiming the objectives.

The stormraven isn't just a flying transport.. it also has 12 armor on all sides, making it a serious pain in the butt to even damage. Can you imagine the look on your opponents face when you fly over an objective they are trying to hold and drop a blood claw dreadnought right ontop of them? Let the scouts and librarian hop out down range or at a building objective and just pop shots while the stormraven mows down anything that gets close. It can even reliably pop landraiders with the TL multi-melta.

Only problem is only half your army can be held in reserves...so in a 500pt game you can only have 2 of those 3 units on the storm raven (which itself doesn't count because it "must" start in reserves)...

Also I'm pretty sure you can only take the dc dred if you take a unit of death company. Good idea though.

Damn, wish I read the rules better.. the idea of pulling out all these models and setting them up next to the board just to look at your opponent and say "ok, my deployment is done." would have been hilarious.

I'll just need to modify this list some and be ready to bust it out in 1000+ point games then. Will certainly have less punch in that point size, but will be worth a manly giggle.

I think the storm raven is a good choice to deal with fliers. BA don't have much.
I've heard DS the dred can be risky, but it does protect it and save foot slogging. If you have to take Death Co. I was looking at taking 5 with bolters. They have fnp and if they need to assault they still get 4A on the charge.

Just have a couple came scouts deploy on the board, infiltrate so you do them in the safest possible places and go to ground for 2+ cover.

Then bring the rest of the army on via storm ravens.
