Apocalypse game concept-too over the top?

I would really like to do this game if I could get enough Tyranid players. It would be a look into the future where it's all Tyranids fighting all the other factions. The setting would be a golden gate guarding the golden throne on Terra.

The idea would be that Terra is the last world that still has life in the galaxy and the Imperium of man has been forced to fight along side every faction who are forced onto the planet to do a last stand against the Tyranid threat. ;D

I'd expect the other races to make their last stand on their own respective homeworlds/dimensions rather than on Terra. Imperium, Eldar and Necrons on Terra though, perhaps.

It sounds very cinematic. You could have a round table in the center, maybe 7' across with the Palace on it and then put tables radiating out from it, like spokes on a wheel, with the Tyranids having to fight their way down the tables to the center. Obviously, spores, infiltrators and tunnelers would be able to hit closer to the center.

This way, there is a common direction of play, and everyone can reach around the tables. Plus each "Faction" could have their own "Spoke" of the wheel to defend.

We did something like this, 20,000 points per side. There were 5 tyranid players and 7 opponents. They were all marine variants except 1 which played horde guard. We said the tyranid buffs would not transfer between hive fleets, but it didn't really matter. By the bottom of turn 3 the conceded.

my biggest game was 26,500 per side, tyranids (me) versus marine, gaurd and eldar. 8 turns. it was a bloody battle but the vortex grenades were lucky and really wounded my heirophant early. game was fun though!
