Which 2000 point Tyranid list is better?

I'm thinking about going to my first tournament some time soon and I'd just like some input on a couple Tyranid lists. I'm trying to decide between these two:

List A:

Hive Tyrant w/ Wings, 2x Devourers

3 Hive Guard
3 Hive Guard
8 Ymgarl Genestealers

Tervigon w/ Catalyst, Onslaught, Toxin Sacs, Adrenal Glands, Crushing Claws
Tervigon w/ Catalyst, Onslaught, Toxin Sacs, Scything Talons
10 Termagants
10 Termagants

20 Gargoyles w/ Toxin Sacs and Adrenal Glands

Trygon w/ Toxin Sacs
Trygon w/ Toxin Sacs
3 Biovores


Or List B:

The Swarmlord + Tyrant Guard w/ Lash Whip
Hive Tyrant w/ Wings, 2x Devourers

3 Hive Guard
3 Hive Guard
Doom of Malan'Tai in a Spore Pod

Tervigon w/ Catalyst, Onslaught, Toxin Sacs, Adrenal Glands, Crushing Claws
Tervigon w/ Catalyst, Onslaught, Toxin Sacs, Scything Talons
11 Termagants
10 Termagants
30 Hormagaunts w/ Toxin Sacs

2 Biovores
2 Biovores


List A has more threats and hits faster and harder. List B has an extra scoring unit, way more psychic powers, and both The Swarmlord and the Doom of Malan'Tai can singlehandedly win games.

List B sounds like more fun, but this is for a tournament. List A sounds safer.

For the tournaments sake, List A gives you everything: strong MCs, distance fighters, fast attack, and some pretty scary, hard to kill units. Both lists look very solid to me, but the mobility of A and it's deep striking ability seems to offer a quicker way into CC--which, as we all know, is our bread and butter.
