This is my first attempt at a battle report and quite frankly I'm to lazy for proper grammar and the smiley faces and such. OTOH I am proud of my list and hope you enjoy the reading.

Mission: Relic Deployment: Hammer & Anvil
Tervigon keeps Catalyst as his job is to buff Gargoyles and Gants he has spawned so randomness of not getting Endurance is bad & It Will Not Die is wasted
Biomancy on Tyrant rolled Enfeeble & Haemorrhage which got switched to Smite, Warlord Trait is the 12” Move Through Cover bubble
Zoanthopes roll on Telekinesis aiming to get Telekinetic Dome so I can survive Daemon Overwatch, I roll the 1st Zoey and get Dome so then switch to Telepathy and roll Puppet Master, 2nd Zoey rolls Gate of Infinity & Objuration Mechanicum, 3rd Zoey rolls Dome and then Dominate so take Psychic Shriek instead
Ahriman rolls on Biomancy & gets Haemorrhage which he keeps as it’s useful on my Ity Bity Bugs then rolls Iron Arm & Endurance, then rolls Breath of Chaos but wants more range and switches to Firestorm & rolls 2 units for Infiltrate
Both Aspiring Sorcerers roll Boon and switch to Firestorm
We have a large LOS blocking hill with trees and ruins on it in center with the relic on top
Bugs win the roll off and elect for first turn as I want to buff everything, Terv deploys in terrain on far left right at the line of scrimmage & about 8” from table edge, to her right side are Gargoyles blob then Devil Gants in center slightly wrapping the Tyrant with more of them to the right and Hormies on far right & about 6” from table edge, Hive Guard behind gargoyles and Gants where they meet up with Zoeys behind them, both units just left of center, Tyrant w/Guards trailing him behind Devil Gants just right of center, Deathleaper in reserves waiting for his perfect chance to strike
Chaos infiltrates one rhino in center left in front of my gargoyles and Terv at 18.1”, Defiler just left of center at his line and infiltrates the other at center right just barely past his line so that my Tyrant won’t get range as he has a single rank of gants in front of him
We roll for Night Fight and its night then we promptly forget its dark for the first turn, I think he forgot to try for the seize too as we were a little distracted by other pre-game activities
Bugs Turn 1
Tyrant gets Dome & Gargoyles get FNP and Dome, Terv spawns 10 gants after my goyles jump up towards rhino, everything moves up & to max coherency spacing, Devil Gants roll a 5 and get their front line into cover, Terv shifts up & to left to stay in terrain and get range on rhino, Hormies run about 6 into the terrain
Hive Guard with Preferred Enemy explode left rhino like it ain’t no thang which kills a 1k Son then save all the shots that wounded from the Terv & Goyles, no other shots are in range or are unable to hurt his mehtal bawkses, my Goyles then fail the charge, oh well First Blood to the Nids!
Chaos Turn 1
He gets preferred wave of flamers and doesn’t scatter them right behind my Tyrant, they roast 10 Devil Gants, Tyrant and 1 Zoey that was hit make their saves, reflections from Dome get saved by daemons
Left 1k Sons move slightly back between some terrain to put me in a bottle neck when I charge to decrease my attacks, Aspiring Sorcerer fails psychic test and perils while 2 or 3 goyles die to bolter shots, I mention he should charge but he reminds me he can’t as he just got disembarked, we then go on to forget that rule at the other rhino, short term memory is gone for some reason
Defiler moves up into terrain towards the relic to put the hurt on anything going after it & zoeys make all their saves against the battle cannon while the Reaper Autocannon fails to hit due to snap fire & out of range for a charge
Ahriman and 1k Sons pile out the other rhino after moving 6” up and focus fire the Hormies w/the Aspiring Sorcerer passing his test but with perils & Ahriman passing his tests and then the squad mistakenly charges & wipes out the Hormies even though they manage to kill two thousand worth of sons, consolidating back towards the rhino
Bugs Turn 2
Deathleaper fails reserve roll
Terv puts FNP on Goyles and spawns 9 running dry, Dome on Tyrant, Objur on Ahriman’s Rhino gets a glance, Enfeeble on Flamers, spawned gants move over to help shoot at flamers, previously spawned gants move out between Defiler & Zoeys but he just might be able to fit the Defiler between the Gants & Hive Guard, it will be a very tight fit, I say nothing about this & pray, Tyrant moves w/the guards closer to flamers
Puppet Master is denied by Defiler , Hive Guard do strip 2 Hull Points from the Defiler which thankfully never passes his It Will Not Die checks all game, shooting from 5 Devil Gants, Tyrant & 9 regular Gants leaves 2 flamers standing which die to a Tyrant and Guard charge even though Overwatch kills 1 Guard
Goyles shoot and make the charge to the left squad of 1k Sons & the close combat continues until bottom of turn 5
Chaos Turn 2
Horrors w/Blue Scribes attached mishap back into reserves
Ahriman & his Grand Sons get back in his mehtal bawks & ride over towards the relic and shoots and kills 1 Hive Guard
Defiler moves up & shoots at Zoeys but they pass the battle cannon saves and lose a wound to the reaper autocannon, then he fails the charge as he is unable to fit the Defiler between the Gants and Hive Guard by a fraction of an inch
Goyle & Grand Son battle continues on left, some guys die & others live
Bugs Turn 3
Deathleaper comes in & I remember the Ld penalty, roll a 1, taunts Ahriman and vanishes back into the shadows
Dome on Tyrant & ObjMech does nothing to Defiler, FNP on Goyles and no target for Enfeeble
Unit of 10 Gants daisy chain out opening a lane for a Terv charge to the defiler which is later on in the round failed, with Tyrants previous consolidate and move I’m in terrain with no shot on rhino, remaining Devil Gants move closer to relic
Puppet Master forces the Defiler to shoot & shake Grandaddy Ahriman’s rhino which the Hive Guard manage to wreck, he piles out behind LOS so my Tyrant has to shoot at the Defiler which fails to Glance, Devil Gants get a few shots & manage to kill 2 Grand-kids
The 50 Score Boys continue to dance with my pretty little Goyles over on the left side
Chaos Turn 3
Horrors & Blue Scribes fail reserves roll!
My buddy wants to avoid the Tervigon with his Defiler and shoots and charges the squad of 10 Gants, even though I tell him it’s gonna happen eventually, Shhh just let it happen
Ahriman & the Millenium Men move closer to the relic & manage to get a wound on my Terv even though they snap-fire, he also passes Endurance & Iron Arm tests while in the Shadow to go to 7 toughness
Bugs Turn 4
Deathleaper comes in, farts in Ahriman’s general direction & leaves in a puff of smoke
Dome on Tyrant & ObjMech does nothing to the Defiler, both Psychic Shriek and Enfeeble are denied by Ahriman, all shooting fails to wound or is saved
Terv makes his charge but Defiler is hot on saves, this battle continues until end of game with no winner
Chaos Turn 4
Horrors and Blue Scribes deep strike perfectly and kill 2 Zoeys, the Puppet Master & Dome Zoey is left healthy as the day she was spawned
Ahriman passes Endurance & Iron Arm to +3 in shadows again, then shoots and charges & wipes out my Hive Guard and consolidates back to base contact with the relic
Other combats continue, Goyles have 2 guys left to kill, Terv takes a wound or two Defiler passes its saves
Bugs Turn 5
Deathleaper comes in & seizes the relic!
Dome on squad of 9 Gants & Enfeeble on Pink Horrors, 9 Gants move around Pink Horrors, Tyrant moves towards Paterfamilias Ahriman, Changeling has my Gants shoot at my Zoey as I forgot all about him but she makes her saves, Devil Gants shots are saved or FNP’d & Tyrant’s shots have 4 precision hits & 3 regular, Look Out Son! saves Ahriman but 2 of the Ten by Ten Toddlers die
Gants make their charge to horrors get w/in 6” of Terv for combat & go to town while Devil Gants & Tyrant charge Ahriman who goes on to make his saves but Tyrant gets wounded, luckily Shadows prevents the Force weapon activation!
Goyles win combat finally over on the left side
Chaos Turn 5
Ahriman gets Endurance and Iron Arm +1 but him & Tyrant make all saves this round of the challenge while 2 Devil Gants, a Tyrant Guard & 1 Grand-kid remains
Pink Horrors are slowly losing the combat and Defiler is slowly beating the Terv up
We roll & game continues!
Turn 6
All saves are made in the challenge on the bugs turn & Defiler fails to kill the Terv so that means Deathleaper is safe with the Relic!
Ahriman finally fails his Endurance & Iron Arm tests on his turn & the Tyrant makes his save, then 1 smash attack hits and Ahriman fails his save!
