1850 points vs Deathcorp of Krieg

Hello all,

Been lurking on this site for some time now, and thought it was the time to get a little advice on the list I made for an upcoming battle against a Deathcorp of Krieg list. We planned on 1850 points ( with a 20 point marging give or take we agreed on ).

Not really that familiar with DoK, but I know he uses a standard Leman Russ, a Leman Russ with a Punisher gunn/cannon ( the 20 shots thing ) and a leman Russ with a plasma cannon. He also uses a Fleet commander guy who rains orbital bombartments ( sorry if I don't know the proper names ) and he has a Vendetta, which I don't know if he's going to use that one.

So, the list:

HQ:

Hive Tyrant with Wings, TW-Devourer and Hive Commander upgrade. 270 points
The Parasite of Mortrex. 160 points

Troops:

10 Termagaunts with Toxin Sacs. 60 points
10 Termagaunts with Toxin Sacs. 60 points
Tervigon with Scything Talons, Cataclyst and Onslaught. 195 points
Tervigon with Scything Talons, Cataclyst and Onslaught. 195 points
5 Warriors with Deathspitter. 175 points

Elites:

6 Ymgarl Genestealers. 138 points
6 Ymgarl Genestealers. 138 points

Fast Attack:

15 Gargoyles with Toxin Sacs. 105 points

Heavy Support:

Trygon. 200 points
Mawlock. 170 points

Total points: 1866 points

Basic plan:
Gargoyles and Parasite harrassing eighter one of the flanks with deepstrike.
Trygon, Mawlock and Tyrant tankhunting ( if possible ).
Terror from the Deep the Mawlock on his troops as much as possible.
Not sure about deepstriking the Trygon yet.
Tervigons and Termagaunts objective hunting and being decoys ( unless scenario has no objective priority ).
Warriors as shooting backup or whatever comes up ( mostly using it as a backup plan unit ).
Ymgarl Genestealers for heavy hitting and mopping up.

No idea what to do about the psychic powers yet, think im going with the Biomancy list.

Advice, tweaks and commentary much appreciated

Biomancy is great for resilience in your forces...but if a model gets Iron Arm or Endurance and has additional rolls...you may want to consider a different psychic tree...
I would consider losing 2 warriors for 2 more ymgarls to supplement those broods...than use the 3 warrior group to hold an objective on your side and provide synapse in your backfield for any routing units.

A)I would get some Biovores in there, big time.
B)16 points over is pretty excessive, you're just taking free stuff at that point.
C)Take TS off Gants and give it to the Tervigons

Yeah, I'll never understand people who thinks it's okay to have "just a few points" over the limit. It's a bloody limit for a reason. How about you inform your opponent beforehand so he can have as many points as you have above the limit over you instead? Or you could just stick to the point limit. /rant

Anyways, start by removing the scything talons from the tervs and cutting one gargoyle and you'll be down to 1849, and take it from there. TS from gants to tervs as 60mm said.

The point issue came from him, he asked me if I didn't mind, and I thought it could do little harm, but you're right, I'll tweak accordingly

Totally forgot about the Tervigon's Brood Progenitor rule /massive facedesk!

Had indeed been thinking about Biovores, but since I've neighter used the Biovore and Mawlock before, I opted to give the Mawlock a try.

Game's on today, I'll post a small update later on.
