Hey guys I had this great (I think lol) idea for a 1500 pt nid list involving the skyshield landing pad.
HQ:
Swarmlord- 280pts
Tyranid Prime -110pts
-LW/BS and DS
-regen
Troops:
Tervigon- 215pts
-TS and AG
-Cata and onsl
-scytals and cluster
10x termagants- 50 pts
16x Genestealers- 272pts
-TS
Elite:
5x ymgarl genestealers- 115pts
Heavy:
2xCarnifex- 380pts
-2x BL devs
Fortifications:
Skyshield landing pad- 75pts
This totals out to 1497pts. The plan here is to put the skyshield landing pad 11" away from the edge of my depoyment zone. I put my fexstar on my depolyment edge so enemies can't infiltrate onto the pad. I infiltrate my stealers on the pad gaining control of it while I use my Swarmlord and tervigon as army support (I roll for TK dome on Swarmy and terv)
By turn 2 if I rush the pad I should have at least the deathstar on it and spawned gaunts, and if I drop my objective close to the landing pad which will be somewhere towards the center of the board, I can have a firebase with a 4+invun for my fexstar making it really tough to shoot down. After my army is on top of the pad I switch Swarmy from support mode to offensive and start moving my stealers yealers and swarmy towards the middle objective supported by tervigon gaunts.
I know this combo is a little gimmicky but I think with good Pad positioning I can easily take board control with the fexstar and tervigon on the pad, and will be almost guarenteed to have the Pad every time seeing as how theres not much that can table 16x TS genestealers with a 4+ invun save before I can get my army 11" out of my deployment zone(where the Pad is) But maybe I'm missing some big issues here can anyone give me there opinion of this build?
