Hey guys I thought I would throw down my list for a large local tournament. I designed it to be a very all in turn 2/3 win loss kind of list of very fast models. I'd appreciate any feedback.
Tyrant
- wings
- tl devourers
- lash whip bonesword
- Hive commander
- Commander
Tyrant
- wings
- tl devourers
- lash whip bonesword
- Old Adversary
Mawlock
3 Zoanthropes
3 Hive guard
6 ymgarls
*During my play test this was my questionable unit. I feel like I need at least 2 more to make the squad a threat*
14 gargoyles
- toxin sacs
- adrenal glands
14 gargoyles
- toxin sacs
- adrenal glands
3 raveners
- rending claws
- spine fists
14 hormagaunts
- toxin sacs
14 hormagaunts
- toxin sacs
10 termagants
- devourers
Deep strike the mawlock and ymgarls (or whatever their fancy reserve is called) Everything else moves forward screened by the gargoyles it's all fast enough to be in range turn two. During my play test I won against a non competitive crons list fairly well and had it been an army that doesn't get back up I feel as though it would have been even more decisive. Also I chose the mawlock over a trygon because its sole purpose is to confuse the opponents target priority and probably get popped on the first turn it comes up. Yes it is less useful in CC than a trygon however with hive commander it's very easy for it to come in turn 2, eat a unit as it comes up, and then draw fire away from the truly terrifying tyrants and swarm. I am aware that with only one set of devs I have slightly less anti flyer but between vector strike and the single pair of devs I feel the tyrants should do enough.
Comments, concerns, criticism?
